Halo was the first fps to popularise the regenerating shield/health aspect. The first Call of Duty still had the 'hoover up the healthpacks' technique that many fps games had at the time, it was only after Halo came out that the series introduced regenerating health.
A game may have had the same idea years before, but Halo was the game that made it popular.

Who's suggesting you should sit down and watch Toy Story 3 on the 3ds with your family? The point of a handheld system is for a single user, not for multiple people to look at the screen.
EDIT:@UP - I agree that it's a completely different experience, and neither product will hurt the other. Although I still think there will be plenty of people who will still enjoy watching 3d films on their 3ds's.

What a load of bollocks. When I play a game, I'm playing it to get away from my real life. It gives me a chance to forget everything I have to deal with in real life, it's escapism. I don't want to think about the deeper issues involved in the game, I don't want to think about the realities based on the game and debating the subject matter and how it effects me.
I just want to save the fucking princess.
Nintendo coasts on the fact that they can make quality games that everyone can play instead of a small margin of people that can play their games.

Old Nintendo systems are ten a penny, and most games work even after they've been pissed on. I know, I've been there.

Look at the DS, what a beast. If Nintendo stopped selling the Wii they would still make crazy profit. With the Wii added they are making unbelievable amounts of money.
Looking good all round though really, ps3 doing well, 36o has strong sales.
Who knows how things will go when it comes to Xmas, it will be interesting to see how things change when the Move and Kinnect are on the market.

Isn't this game supposed to be pretty good? And you won't be paying for this extra feature, it will be patched in at no extra cost? Tell me if I'm wrong please.
They buy games, and outweigh the people that buy games real gamers buy. That's all you need to know.
It has nothing to do with ferraris or any car you may feel belongs in an analogy. It might make you feel more clever or important, but it has no bearing on reality.

FarCry only in name. The real FarCry moved on with Crytek. FarCry is just a trademark name used in inferior sequels. FarCry 2 was shit and bared only a passing resemblence to the original, well actually, it was nothing like it.
Uncharted 1/2 - Great games
God of war 3 - Not as good as the first two, but still great
Gt5 - Not out yet
The last guardian - Not out yet
Killzone 2 - Over-rated. Overhyped by ps3 fanbois, fairly little substance held together by above average graphics for console.
Heavy rain - Pretty good, marred by bad controls and QTEs.
Socom 4 - Nothing that hasn't been seen before.

Graphics - Great, the physics especially add a lot to the game - Check
Gameplay - Excellent, great gunplay, interesting locations and missions - Check
Sound - Excellent, great cast and dialogue - Check
Length - Good size game, especially considering that it is not a sandbox game, the city is there to provide feel to the game, it is not sandbox - Check
