If you like jrpgs the vita is basically amazing right now.
Vita is still easier and has its own games. It's a nice work around for those without a vita, the extra trouble if lugging a controller around and the battery usage of screen on time plus the remote play app make it much less convenient. I have a note 4 and a vita the note 4 screen is a little bigger but most phones don't give even that advantage over the vita. Plus again no vita games. EH if it doesnt you'll just save up for the ps4 faster and have ALL the consoles/games possible. One thing I find works is selling my body either in the form of carnal favors or literally in chunks on the black market.
Back on PS2 before I'd even heard of Disgaea my buddy loaned me Shadow hearts and Disgaea... I got so tied up in disgaea I didnt touch shadow hearts for months literally I played so much disgaea it was just sick and made no sense anymore. Later I did eventually play shadow hearts and it along with shadow hearts 2 became pretty much my favorite RPG story/time loop so far... but disgaea and later games like la pucelle tactics have a special place in my game library.

PS NOW is a "cloud" service. The idea of cloud computations being some special sauce is what gets alot of backlash, not from "PS fans" but from anyone with a lick of knowledge on the subject. tldr: My friend bought the expansion and I didnt, I am now complaining that I cant enjoy that content with him since my friend has completed the base game and Im too cheap to buy the expansion he now plays.
