I think the reason is stated pretty clearly in the article, so gamers still have the ability to trade-in, resell games with physical media. If they went all digital this wouldn't be an option.
I think that is the reason for the 24 hour check-in and the fact that the authorized retailers would have something to disable the game from your account, so they can see if you still "own" it.
Wow so you can completely disable the button prompts, that makes this so much better, especially with the multiplayer coliseum mode and everything else discussed
I am getting a PS4 at launch, but I thought everyone should at least take a look at this article because alot of it make sense.

This isn't the same double helix team, they merged three companies all which have fighting game experience. Everything I have seen from this game looks great, shame I'm not buying an X1 anymore.
You can buy a full digital release, the demo is the full game with one character, where to save money you can just purchase the characters you want. So tired of people saying this is a F2P business model.

Very somber moment for me canceling my autorenewal on my 10 year live account last night.
The original document said you and one family member at a time have access to the entire library, which means you and one person can play any game in the library. While this is happening no other family member would have access till that person logged off the share. Still very nice and if you only have to pay for half the games, makes it pretty nice.

This was the last straw for me, I've supported MS since the reveal of the xbox. When they released that supported countries chart, I was done. Uh Cinder did 80 hit combos fairly often using the cancel ultimate glitch. I could consistently juggle with Orchid for 40+ hits, so no this is wrong.
Full purchase release, 60 fps, f2p model optional and gives you the whole game for free with one char. Team is made up of three studios who all have fighting game experience, working closely with Rare, and finally the impressions have been great from critics and the fighting game community. Rusty515 - You haven't been updated on anything have you. Ryse is not a questiongame, those are prompts to execute finishers. The coliseum multilayer coop mode sounds awesome. Also, Ryse will have a full release and a f2p full demo. This entirely optional.
