I don't think handhelds provide the same type of experience as consoles. They are supplement distractions for the core gamer. It's in their design; cheap, quick, and casual entertainment.

I dunno about that. Microsoft hasn't announced anything for this year- let alone next year. They don't have enough man power to make a kazillion games and third-party exclusives are drying up.

It is true, but Sony can get better software sales if they drop the price of the PS3. You can push hardware sales with strong software offerings and software with strong hardware sales, but not at $399.99. imo
edit: I agree about the diverse nature of the PlayStation fanbase and the straight- focused shooter fanbase of the 360, but GT is a bigger franchise than Halo, and will sale accordingly in the future based on past data.
And? This affects mine or your life how? I will continue to buy every game for my PS3 and you will for your 360. Sony or Microsoft haven't stopped putting out games for their consoles- Sony anyways, and I will continue to be loyal to my console of choice.
