After having played the demo, I can answer the question "Is Conflict: Denied Ops going to boost the series into AAA territory?" With a resounding "NO".

I don't care what the media think. They can talk all the crap they want, I still like games, and so do hundreds of millions others. Nothing the media can do will change that, so tough sh1t.

Mart, the fact that GT has gotten this far and still gotten away with having no car damage, is simply a testiment to how fantastic the game actually is.

Forza 2 is great, but calling it better than Gran Turismo is pure ignorance, or just denial.

Besides, car damage doesn't make or break a game, unless you're so bad that you constantly crash into the wall all the time. I'm usually pretty good on those sort of games, so I never even notice the lack of car damage, thus ...

Yes, exactly.

Nintendo use the same games with the same characters over and over, because they can't do anyhting else.
Capcom does it for the same reason as MS, they're greedy b*stards.

You raised a lot of good points there, I wasn't even aware of most of those games.
I guess whether or not you like the 360's line-up is determined by your tastes; personally, I vastly prefer the PS3's line-up. All the games I love will be on it. This of course won't be be the case with everyone.

However, I have to disagree with one thing you said:

"MGS4 (like Splinter Cell, I don't care for it)"

What? You're kidding me! Have you played a ...

Wraith001, all Microsoft care about is making money. And if that means tarnishing a name that it's loyal customers love, I can assure you they won't lose any sleep over it.
Expect MS to milk the cash-cow that is Halo in a as many ways as they possibly can.

The reason the Japanese aren't favourable to American products is because they simply don't like them.
They didn't dig the noise the 360 made, it's external power supply, it's unreliable hardware, or most of the games on it, as 360 games in general only appeal to thise with Western tastes.

I don't think the Japanese feel that the 360 is really good enough for them. They're a really picky people, and if one thing goes wrong with something, they really go mad over it.

There better be something better than this for 2008, or all the 360 owners are going to be mighty bored for the whole year.

I'd be a wee bit annoyed if I didn't have a PS3.

Once the loyal Nintendo fans realise that their beloved corporation gave them nothing to play during 2008, while PS3 and 360 owners are busy enjoying themselves playing MGS4, GT5, KZ2, R:FoM 2, Alan Wake, and other fantastic games, then the Wii bubble will burst.

The ironic thing is, the Wii is less of a games console than the PS3 or 360. It's a toy, a novelty. Something that won't last, which is a shame.

Both are just a matter of personal preference. Personally, I think the 360 pad is better for FPS and RTS games, but not much else.

I find the shape of the 360 pad fairly ergonomic, but the placement of the analog sticks and D-pad isn't.

Try playing the PS3 and 360 versions of R6: Vegas. You'll find that the controls were mapped perfectly on the Sixaxis pad, and on the 360, even though the controls are basically the same, the game doesn't feel as good.
Why? Beca...

Good point, but to be honest, I don't think games sell that badly on PS3 at all.
Look at Burnout Paradise, it's only sold 250,000 (give or take) more on the 360, and considering the 360 has nearly twice the userbase, that isn't much of a lead.

Power of Green, most of your comments in the gamer zone get deleted by a mod, you hyppocrite. Learn not to troll yourself, before you go off on other people.

And Prototype, it won't sell poorly, because there won't be much else to buy for the 360 when it comes out.
That was't meant to be fanboyish, by the way. I really mean it. Even if it's good that's the main reason it's going to sell.

The informed thing to do would be to sit back for a while and see how it turns out, rather than setting yourself up for disappointment. The fact that we still haven't seen any gameplay for this, after seeing trailers back at the 360's launch, is very disconcerting.

We still haven't seen any gameplay, and this looks like potential let-down material to me. Don't over-hype it.

I would really like it to be good, but i'm not getting my hopes up.

Damn, that's what really annoys me about this game. All they needed to do was release a patch that allows analog controls, and the game would have been great. It's too late now, but the game had so much potential.

Lame analogy:
It's like the game is a beautiful face, and the sixaxis controls are a huge zit on that face. The zit completely lets the whole face down, all that would be needed is for that zit to be gone, and it would be perfect. So sad...

Bloodmask, it doesn't matter how long you've had your 360 for. No matter how you want to spin this argument, microsoft were still in the wrong for getting greedy, and releasing crappy hardware in return for getting their console out before Sony and Nintendo.

Microsoft were trying to secure a monopoly in the gaming industry as soon as they could at the cost of consumer satisfaction, and that's something that I find it hard to respect them for.

Why defend a company tha...

Haven't attempted the Citizen's Burning route yet, the burnign routes up to the point I am are already pretty tough, lol. Especially for the speedy ones.

I've been playing online quite a bit, though, so I haven't given myself enough time to unlock much. Awesome game!

Go find a laptop that was made within the last year or so that doesn't have Windows Vista pre-installed, then you'll know why Vista has pretty good sales.

No, you didn't sound like a fanboy at all. You sound quite reasonable. You should post in the gamer zone like I do, it's far better.
Right now i'm in the open zone because there's not really anything happening in the gamer zone :)

It's unfortunate that the 360's so expensive, but I'm sure there'll be some price cuts soon. Right now the PS3's at a very competitive price, considering value for money, and microsoft really need to get it together if they have any hope of making...
