Def last of us. No question. It's a game changer, literally.
Killzone shadow fall.
If you need wow then you have to bypass all third party devs. Yes I have an absurd PC too, but kill zone is impressive.
I have to disagree. Ms is far from having best anything. Certainly not anything in the AAA game category. This tells me you didn't have a ps3, because it's not even a reasonable argument.
I'd also add it's very short term thinking that m$ has better games. Sony has a proven track record for several console generations. And the launch lineup isn't even better IMO. Although I agree I'd like to try killer instinct.
The common trend this next-gen will be having APPS on your mobile devices to interact with the game worlds. The problem for me is the ONLY time this would be beneficial is if its one of the "Main stay" games that I follow, otherwise I'll have to suffer from missing content on the disk which I can't access unless I login to some stupid social network to claim my "rewards".
The entire digital space has never been about providing "More" to...
Valve innovates continually as they are not a publically traded company. Gabe has shown how much foresight he has. He is a great CEO and certainly a visionary. Even the idea of "Steam Trading Cards". Sony and Microsoft will copy that idea for sure. I don't even heavily participate in the steam community but I can tell you that their is quite a large one.
I've already signed up for the beta program. Hopefully I'll get to try the controller out on my steam li...
Possible, but it wouldn't be at the level of say a StarCraft for PC. I see it as more of a navigational feature than a game driving feature.
People really underestimate the ability to have a touch pad on a controller. I still see this as a HUGE advantage. You will too in due time. You won't be able to go back to not having one. The interactions it allows are common for all touch enabled devices which makes it understandable and common-place in our society. Very excited for this.
Very interested in the new PUSH steam is making for Linux. If my entire steam library worked in Linux and I had some solid Drivers for Audio/Visual then I would certainly move on and never look back!
I've always been a Playstation + PC/Steam guy.
(F' Origin, F' UPlay - Never again, no more games from them)
I'm not sure i'd get a steam box, although for streaming from my PC to TV I might. I'd love to see the Playstation 4 have a SteamOS app, which would perform the same function. That would be AWESOME!!
Playstation uses linux anyway.
Hey Ohlmay,
"Campaign intergrated into MP".
Listen man, This is just another marketing way of saying...This is a Multiplayer ONLY game, so do not expect an extensive single-player campaign and YES you'll still pay 60$.
It should not be one of your bullet points. Its a NEGATIVE for us customers not a positive. ugh.
I wish people would start reading in between the lines.
Typical Micorsoft... Lies, Lies, Lies. Overpromise and Under deliver. Thank you Sony for cleaning up your act and focusing on GAMERS! Using solid hardware design, a very nice looking box and a killer price point!
As a professional software engineer with almost 10years under my belt I can tell you the entire thing is being spun as a marketing line, however, I can think of ways where this could be accomplished but it is not something only Microsoft can do. Also, there is a catch as this kind of processing wouldn't make sense for many types of games.
I can tell you open world games would benefit from what I'm thinking about. Still is it worth it? My assumption would be "marg...
and Puppeteer and GT6.
Thanks Sony!
No. Wait on the definitive ps4 version like me!
F2p isn't good. It means you'll spend quite a lot more than you would for a dark souls experience at 60$.
I hope we can share at native resolution. That would be a pretty big disappointment if not. :(
Something is better than nothing I suppose.
As much as I feel like devil's advocate saying this, but 4GB of VRAM would of probably been more than enough for the console's pixel pushing capabilities. Ofcourse another 2GB or so for game memory would of been needed as well.
So I suppose all in all, we got 8GB of multi-purpose VRAM, which I'm more than happy with. That means my choice of getting a 4GB Graphics card for my PC was right on target, possibly 6GB will be used a few years later in the cycle.
The issue is because those "people" are simply trolling. We all know it looks cool. They come into these articles to get a rise outta people, so they get what they want which is pure fanboy entertainment, which is why N4G and the comment sections are so fun to begin with.
If not, then I wouldn't bother visiting this site at all.
I hope they do a good job. Put your heart and soul into each box!
