...but it has HUGE flaws. It takes the talk away from in-game and makes games even more silent. Beyond that simple fact is it makes games EASY for people to cheat. I don't really care that much about cheaters, but their are tons of people that do.
I like the idea I can play uncharted while a friend plays Demon souls and we can just hang out and play games, but its definetly a feature that is easily abused.

Sounds more like wishful thinking then anything. I've never known sony to advertise "Full Backwards compatibility or Partial Backwards Compatibility". It will always just say, "Backwards Compatible"

Both can be emulated and i'm sure already are. BC will come for discs and downloads. You can bet your socks on that. As far as scanning in games, to buy digital distros...I highly doubt it. Seems like a lot of overhead and no real benefit. Unless it was just a discount on the game itself and not a FREE copy.

The flaw as you said is the search system, but their are two ways around that.
1) Use a walkthrough 1/2 the time, or printed maps (this is what i do)
2) Save the game, use serum powerd and run around looking for souls when u find one make a mental note and keep going. Use up all yoru serum powder and find all souls in 1 area then reload your game and quickly find the souls that you already found. (makes it very easy...

That is the difference in gamers. Also factor in Price of entry and install base. It makes a huge difference when all the teenie friends CAN AFFORD 1 console for 2 years and them and their friends all pick up that console.
