I'm really glad damage is on. Regardless if its racing only. I don't really mind. I understand whats going on. PD can take as LONG as they want. I want a PERFECT game. That is why I buy Gran-Turismo, a Passion for Perfection.
GT looks great, i'm sure feels great and will offer lost of nice features we haven't had in prior GTs. Seems like a WIN WIN to me!

...It has nothing to do with capability or resources. It has to do with car manufacterers being "OK" with their cars being mangled.
Also you have to remember, they aren't going to make each car have its own unique damage model. That would be ridiculous. I'd love that, but its just not realistic another problem (besides sheer resources) would be the ability to see the defects in each car companies cars. Seeing ferrari's being "cut in half", but not a nissan sen...
Although i'd like damage for every car (as well as weather/day/night) effects, having racing car damage that's as closely simulated as possible is good enough for me. :)
Backwards Compatibility WILL DEFINETLY come. Don't believe anything but that. They can make a small fortune from downloadable PS2 games. Trust me....It'll come. Its been patented, its been rumored etc...
It may even drop before 2010.
all prices are 299$ as long as the retailer drops it, but they got the go ahead from sony. I'd expect some bundle deals though. (Still great value bundles, but the retailer wants to make a few $$ before the slim)
Its a nice feature, but it can be and WILL BE abused readily by those cheating gamers out there. Ask some xbox people, it makes cheating very easy. For that reason alone I'm a bit at ends with it.
My own preference is I'd like it. Its nice to play uncharted and chat with my friend while he plays (Insert game here)

Although HOME may not of realized its full potential yet, the concept and freedom within it (as a platform) is staggering. It just needs to be better intergrated into the CORE playstation experience.
One could also argue that it is a "beta" right now and so having it an optional addon makes the most sense for beta trials.

Listen...I think it looks fun and all, but a 9.4? Sorry Highly unlikely. Just like Gears of war was rated so high, yet the online is horrendous? I mean come on people, at least recognize major issues with a game.

Also warranties depends on who you talk to. So call back and speak with different reps, give them your sob story and maybe they'll fix for free.
if you feel strongly and have a legitimate complaint, ask to speak with their manager. Ask that person their name and title and continue.

Its needed. It yields gamer "confidence" that sony will support their legacy games. I got tons of PS1 and PS2 games. And i'll play some again. Especially RPGs.
Not to mention the $$$$ SONY can make off the PSN, for downlodable PS2 games.
Was always on its way. Its great to see it come out. Just keep releasing those PS1 and PS2 games. And maybe... Allow RENTING of PS1 and PS2 games and reap the rewards!
The Playstation branding and theme should be UNIFIED. Purple is lame. Playstation has always been Red/black. If they wanted to choose Purple or blue as a primary color More power to them, but for goodness sakes just unify the color scheme.
I hate how euros and americans have such different ways of interacting with their playstation. The user experiences are very different.

Thats pretty dope. Why doens't every game I buy have some sort of a Home reward? They should. Get X Special trophy and I should get the Batman Costume! I mean come on Sony. Take the idea and extend the crap outta it!

-Queue for Home Games
Your still paying for LIVE, but not using it to the fullest. Its like paying for an MMO game and playing it 15hrs a month. Just realize that.
