Microsoft has been selling that line on each console they release. Wake up. The hardware hasn't undergone anything drastic. The flaws remain.
Its really that simple.
Also, it came out first and has a more intuitive online component.
Combine those factors and thats the answer.
Xbox360 came out first.
= More people purchased it.
= Friends want to play with their friends.
= Easier to use online.
Its pretty simple. Many people would use the ps3, if their friends had it and/or if it had a party system like xbl.
They didn't come out and throw a curve ball for the heck of it.
They were UNABLE TO COMPETE with sony and microsoft on the hardware power war. They are still unable to compete. This forced them into thinking of a different way to monetize their system. At 250$ the wii is a rip off which is why Nintendy makes $$ on each one sold, since launch.

Lobbies are NOT the answer to "Intuitive" multiplayer designers.
Wrapping it into a party/matchmaking system is far more streamlined for the average user.
I will agree that Lobbies give more fidelity to MP options, but its really for the serious gamers, not the average gamer/casual gamer.
I may acutally have to wait a few weeks to see what (we) the gamers think about it. What i've seen has put me into the 70/100 range of purchase agreement, but i've also seen some questionable interactions.
Guess time will tell.
Their pricing structure is nutz.
The Demo should be free to pick up in any store you order move related hardware at.

Better to spend the extra 10$ and get an extra camera and demo disk i suppose.

a 10 streak is unheard of. Thats another debatable issue. I'd assume players desire the "ability" to kill more people at any one time.
But there are serious problems and looking at all the FPS players i know, not a single one of them got into kz2. Thats not good guys! Thats money down the drain, because now they will have to be really convinced to buy the next one. It already left a bad taste in some people's mouths.
It pisses me off, because its such a visually stunning game, that the botched controls and imbalances in multiplayer really hurt it.
but sony did the best, imo.
Sorcery showed what the glitchy zelda (wii-motion+) could not and the graphics were better as well. Thats a win-win.
After 15mins of glitchy zelda, i was turned off.
I'm glad they used it as a test bed, because if it was in GT5 i'd be pissed.
