Yeah I'm right there with you. Definitely digging it. It's something that hasn't been done in such an accessible and balanced way before. I personally love it. Is it shallow? Yes, but it's damn fun
Ask yourself this: have you played a call of duty game made within the last 3 years?
You have? Great! Nothing new to see
Yeah. Not really. I'm just indifferent.
Probably cancelled
The people saying "gaming is for kids," are SJ personality types that encompass 40% +/- of the population. They love order, routine and structure and strive to live up to the ideal image of an "adult" bestowed upon them by their baby boomer superiors. (Look up MBTI for personality types, there's 16)
Embrace what makes you different. You can never live up to someone else's ideal so don't try. Be the best "you" that you can possibly b...
1 - 5 are practically the same scores when it comes to game reviews
That's a weak argument. If you've read any reviews over the years you know this to be pretty much true. 10 = masterpiece, 9 = excellence, 8 = Good to great, 7 = good to average, 6 = below average, 1-5 are practically the same score since they equal unplayable, unfinished trash. If you don't like the story or whatnot but can appreciate the technical achievement of even making a stable, playable game in the first place, that's a 7 at worst. 6.9 if you want to be edgy. But a 5? N...
If you're on this site enough to register a login, then you know how games are judged when it comes to reviews. Anything below a 6 signifies unplayable trash. Hell, even call of duty gets 9's. This was a desperate grab for clicks by baiting the gaming community and aspiring to fall at the bottom of metacritic for additional clicks in the future.
1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 are all practically the same scores when it comes to video game scores. Those scores are outliers when it comes to reviews. Hell, most people stay away from a 6 or even 7 sometimes when the bar for a great game is 8.5 and above. Tell me I'm wrong.
And anyone who knows a thing about game reviews knows this: 9-10 = excellence. 8 = good / enjoyable enough to play. 7 = playable, fun at times but don't pay full price. 6 and below = trash / unplayable, avoid at all costs. This reviewer unfairly labeled this game as trash. All for clicks. Don't like the game yet technically astonishing? A 7 would suffice. 5 tells me they want to be at the bottom of metacritic to harvest as many clicks as possible.
So you created a login on this site, yes? So based on that assumption, it's generally accepted that a 9 is a great game, 8 is a good game, 7 is average and anything below just isn't worth the time of an average gamer, yes? So with that said, this person scored it a 5 which is practically the same as a 2 in the world of game reviews. The review was written not to inform, but to bait.
This review screams HITS! CLICKS! ADS! I half think they're striving to be the lowest score on metacritic so they'll get additional clicks in the future as well
Yeah, only if Nintendo manufactures enough consoles to make it a bigger game. The only thing holding back Nintendo is nintendo
The only Zelda killer is Nintendo themselves through their pre-planned supply shortfalls.
The writing is very first drafty as well. Could use an editor.
Not a bad thing at sll
Waaaaaa. Waaaaaa!
Play it first before levying judgment. It's fantastic. Or miss out on an excellent game due to preconceived notions. Your choice.
It's such a well made, fantastically stressful experience playing this game. The weapons are f'ing amazing when you score a good hit. Graphics are unbelievable. And Gameplay is varied so it's much more than a simple hide and seek type of game. If you can handle it, because it's legit scary, buy it! You won't be disappointed
I couldn't get past the sloppy writing to even approach the content in the article
