Square left Nintendo because they found out the N64 still used CARTRIDGES They went to Sony because they were using the CD, therefore they UPGRADED. This time Square went BACKWARDS to the DVD when they had BLU-RAY. DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW??? You people seem to think Square left Nintendo for no good reason.
Growing OLD is mandatory
Growing UP is optional
Give me a Toy Story game that looks like the movie itself and plays well with motion controls or just regular controls and I'm on board.
1.) FF7 was the REVERSE of FF13. FF7 was linear for the first several hours and then OPENED up for the rest of the game which was basically 90% of it.
2.) Combat I dont really have a problem with at the moment but Potions heal everyone and you get healed right after battle, it makes it feel cheap. Pricetag for offering fast gameplay.
3.) No towns and no leveling KILLS THE HEART AND SOUL of an RPG. Seriously if you dont like this then why are you playing an RPG? This ...
I would of rather they spent another 3 years making it correct. So far from what I've played its way too easy, I mean potions heal everybody, you get healed after every fight, every save point is a market place, no fanfare. JUST WTF AM I PLAYING?? This feels like a really soulless Final Fantasy. I mean I could be wrong and end up loving the game later but right now playing this is just making me rage. It feels kind of like a nightmare where I keep telling myself that This tunnel is going to e...
This has nothing to do with this piece but I feel the need to rant. I just got done playing about maybe an hour of FF13 and man I just have to say that this game would had been so much better had they just stuck to the original RPG formula. Especially after watching the cutscene at the starting menu when you fly through the canyons. SE, you really really dropped the ball on this. I know they tried to make it all story driven but it feels like they were trying to cram in Uncharted 2's formula ...
never had the pre-spin disc problem with the ps1 but I did have to turn it upside down.
Balmer came to SE's home offices in a Lightning cosplay with bags of money thats how.
Cdzie? nah can't be..
Then dont? Does it really take 1000 sites to tell you the PS3 is better before you finally make your decision to buy the better version? Are you going to sit there and pause every single frame, count pixels and take vast amount of notes on how the shadows are .34% darker in one frame than the next? It's times like this that makes me sad knowing that games now and onwards will be measured by how many polygons a character's hair has. How have we become so jaded? Are we not gamers? Shouldn't the...
I miss the format wars. I happned to notice all the usernames that supported HD-DVD are gone like Cdzie, I remember he was fiercely backing HD-DVD. I remember one of them even said something like "Warner Bros will go HD-DVD soon and the rest will follow suit mark my words" and then the next day Wal-mart and all the other major chains committed to Blu-Ray which lead every other studio to side with them including Warner Bros a few days later. It was pretty funny. Microsoft still seems...
How many comparisons do we need? Why do sites keep coming with these when its already perfectly clear that the PS3 version is better? I mean whats new that they're discovering? Incoming 500 more comparisons because one site thinks their opinion which is exactly the same as the last 500 comparisons is somehow more authoritative than the rest.
Funny, and kind of off topic but I just went to my Gamestop's midnight opening and I noticed that the few people who bought the 360 version had theirs put in bags whereas the people who bought the ps3 version weren't.
I know people think that fuming over the fact that FF13 went to 360 is a bit hypocritical since FF was originally on Nintendo but you have to understand that FF7 went to PSX because of the CD format. Square did not want to constrain themselves to a Cartridge that N64 was using. FF7 was also a huge launch platform for many many gamers just starting out on their first RPG. Fast forward a few years, PS2 went to the dvd format and Gamecube had their own thing going on. Now PS3 has Blu-ray it has ...
Theres always one retarded one in the bunch.
I could see an "LBP2 announcement" being plausible but as for it releasing this year, thats a little much. It better fully utilize the arc wand as well if true.
You know theres going to one site thats going to give it a 7 or an 8 for either site hits or kicks and giggles (teh lulz). But I mean do we really need reviews to know how good this game is?
It's not just a "software update" it has very much to do with the hardware. Just because Avatar in 3D didn't look very much different to you doesn't mean it wasn't There is a lot of stuff behind the scenes to make 3D its not just a matter of upgrading some silly firmware and voilà. I'm not even gonna try to get technical because I'm no expert behind it but I'm pretty certain bringing in 3D in this day and age is a bit more complicated than running to your liquor store and buyin...
Current HDTV =/= 3D Supported TV. Many people DID just buy an HDTV for this generation of games but many aren't going to go out and buy another set of 3D supported tvs. If you think the HDTV you have at home is going to work, bad news buddy. This will only benefit a handful of people who have the income to throw at a whole new tv for something still in it's infancy (3D). Until more and more broadcast companies come out and jump on the 3D bandwagon and 3D tv prices drop, this is a niche group ...
Too bad this requires new TVs. If Sony had found a way for existing HDTVs to go 3D, this would be huge.
Well they did for the first time in history come out on their twitter account and publicly asked their Japanese fans what they thought of a FF7 remake and had so many replies that they had to ask them to stop sending them feedback. And now they pull a stunt like this so it either means something or they're just yanking our chain which won't go over well with their fans. So Square, if you're going to do it and feed us bits and pieces over the next few years, you better show us the cake at the ...
