If you're not going to make your flag ship games the prime showcase of what a PS5 can do, then wtf is even the point of a PS5 at all? The PS5 is starting to sound more like it should have just been called the PS4 Pro 2. Now we'll have to wait for years for the actual PS5 exclusive sequels and by then the PS6 will be on the horizon and by then, we'll get buy a PS5 version and then get an inevitable PS6 remaster.
This isn't really indicative of how large the map will be, I mean look at Death Stranding for example, we're lead to believe we're traversing across the entire country was it? but the map is nowhere near that big, it just shows variety of places of interest if anything.
Yeah, honestly the only reason I was able to stomach through DQ11 was because they let me change the world them to the DQ8 theme. The DQ11 world theme was just an offensive assault on the ears after first 5 minutes.
Does all of this really matter when the systems sell out the moment they're listed? If anything, this is just an indicator of who can make more consoles than the other.
Zelda: Breath of the Wild was giving off some serious Just Cause/Every other Survival Game vibes.
There's no way Sony could afford Square. If Sony wanted to buy Square they should have done so in the early 2000s after the Final Fantasy Spirits Within movie tanked hardcore and nearly bankrupted them. Square is far too healthy today for Sony to purchase, Capcom as well, they're doing the best business they've probably ever had in a long time and Sony's pockets aren't nearly as deep to make it worthwhile.
Yeah, we're never getting GTA6.
Being able to monetize is a very thin line to tread. It has to be super high quality and approved by Sony, I'm not paying a cent for some 10 second art piece or crappy meme dream. There are some insanely awesome stuff on Dreams that deserves some money though, especially VR ones.
With the amount of games I have in my backlog, I can wait until the death of the universe.
I'm holding off playing this in hopes of PSVR2 support!
God I can't wait for FF7:RE part 2 to be shown.
This author needs to be dragged out and shot.
Take into heart what the Days Gone dev said about don't be shocked as to why there isn't a sequel if people aren't buying at full price. If people don't buy the game, don't be shocked if FF7:RE never finishes or takes even longer to finish. Don't get me wrong, I get it but if every person or most people had the same thought of "I'll just wait for the complete collection" (I know I did many times). Would there EVER be a complete collection?
The ship part was okay, I was actually thinking more about Lucas' part of the house, up to the final Jack fight and later when you regain control of Ethan and go into the mines. Also the final fight with Evelyn was pretty meh. I'm also going to wait RE8 out to see if there's going to be PSVR2 support in the future.
If you played in VR, a massive life sized sludge creature with 9 inch teeth is far more terrifying. My one issue with RE7 was that it did survival horror so well up until the Lucas part where it really shat the bed and turned more into an action horror game. I found everything after Mama was such a slog.
I'd totally play this on my PS5.............IF I HAD ONE...
This is what happens when you think you can just solve and conquer some things simply by throwing money at it. Same with Stadia.
If prices never dropped drastically and so fast, I'd agree otherwise it doesn't affect me. Those that want it day 1 will shell out the extra 10. I'll wait for the sale. You want to talk about greedy? Take a look at Nintendo and their penchant for rarely ever offering sales and when they do, it's never that much and it never drops below a certain price.
It's not really a console, it's just a PC with a fancy chicken warming case. It'll be a collector's piece.
Sounds to me less of a PS5 and more a PS4 Pro 2. None of this utilizes what the PS5 could truly have pulled off if it didn't have to be shackled to a base model PS4. Instead of having something truly remarkable and next-gen we'll only have slightly prettier graphics.
