@Jughead3416 and add the fact that consoles are not backward compatible either, i can play old dos games on my PC and run emulators, you seriously cannot compare the PC catalogue against consoles.
@curtis92 PC's have mods, that is a huge advantage over consoles, look at GTA when modded, and Skyrim.
GTA is not a console exclusive, the thing was first made on a PC, old top down view loved it :D

It doesn't matter if they only release it for Steam OS, anyone with a PC can install Steam OS for free, you could either dual boot it, or you could run it inside of windows like a VM.
It's aimed at people who want to get into PC gaming but don't have the knowledge of building a rig, there are a lot of people that have no idea how to build a rig i have built 3 this past month myself for friends.
They could make exclusives though, good ones too Half life, Portal, Left 4 Dead ect ect
I am hoping the steam box does well, i don't think it will be a threat to PS4 and Xbox, but it might make a dent, competition is always a good thing so people should be hoping this does well

Has anyone seen MS demonstrate this ? if it can do what they say how come we haven't seen it in action ? it would be something positive for MS but yet we have seen nothing (as yet)
