There should be no divisions in SCE. They need to unify under one moniker. It would just be SCE International, and they would retain their locations around the world, except all projects and all goals would be communicated and achieved by all locations around the world as a whole.
Being united doesn't mean they'd have to do away with individual dev. teams working on diff. projects, it just means that they'd be under common management and resources could be pooled to work on some ...
Do you have any idea what kind of tech is in the PS3? No? Well, you get what you pay for.
Massive gimping?
Hmmm.
Built-in Wi-Fi, standard HDD, 4 USB ports, flash card readers...
What were you saying about gimped again?
Oh THAT'S right....you're talking about backwards compatibility...I'm so sorry that hurts you so much that you think an entire console is gimped because BC was removed...
It's called TRYING TO SAVE PR...
I agree with those impressions completely.
Ray tracing is used in Killzone 2 to some extent.
I believe it's mentioned here, at the 30 sec. mark:
Yet look at what it's doing to the 360's sales....almost nothing.
Consumers become imbued with fear and doubt when they see prices rapidly slashed on ANY product. Same applies to the 360.
It started at 500, and now it's 200, only 3 years in? That probably has some consumers thinking...
Digital distribution has a LONG LONG LONG LONG way to go.
I'd say it will be at LEAST another decade, if not TWO decades before the proper infrastructure is in place to allow a switch to DD.
And even then, with DD, you don't even actually own any content, you own a bunch of 1's and 0's with strict DRM.
I'll take physical medium for as long as possible, thank you.
Also, with Blu-ray discs now upwards of 400GB, and increase in read speed...I d...
Yeah until Sony violently ripped it from their hands in 1995 and kept it for at least 11 years.
It has been since the beta. 'Nuff said.
Open-minded?
Try this on for size:
"Why the Xbox 360 Will Dominate Globally in 2009"
Oh wait....you already did!
*points at you and calls you hypocrite"
doctor strange, how about THIS one? I think this represents Killzone 2 more accurately, if it is indeed ASS:
If we do get this title, it better not be broken like the Orange Box (which wasn't even coded with surround sound on the PS3 version....).
This game takes Lord of the Rings fantasy and runs with it, turning it into a mockery of hack-and-slash flame-sword run-and-gun arrow shooting (the controls felt like mercenaries).
Why don't you sit down with the Lord of the Rings books, come back after reading all 1000 + pages and then tell me that any of these games are actually worth playing if you are a fan of the series.
That "fun" thing you said is highly subjective.
Also, just because it's a Lord of the Rings game doesn't make it worth playing.
J.R.R. Tolkien must be turning over in his grave right now with all these bad games and knockoffs since the films came about.
For me, it was trial and error with each and every console, sometimes multiple times, before I came to the console I have today...the PS3.
Battlefront is not Lord of the Rings, and Vice versa.
Until someone is able to make a game that follows Lord of the Rings canon properly and doesn't make a mockery of it, then all these action RPG adventure pieces of crap are unacceptable.
Of course bloodmask posts the story with an image from the '05 trailer...idiot lol
I played the demo and I barfed a little in my mouth.
Why can't anybody make a genuine Lord of the Rings game...
Dude, the tifa one is way overdone. Tifa's tits aren't THAT big. I was like UGH tone it down a little bit.
Edit:
This girl looks almost identical to Tifa
LoL nips!
Sony has managed to sell nearly the same amount of consoles year-on-year at double the price of Microsoft's offering.
That alone speaks for itself.
Actually, at 2 years after the launch mark...the PS3 was 3 million ahead of where the 360 was 2 years its own launch.
A more expensive console is selling at a faster or equal rate to one that is cheaper than any other console on the market.
Explain that away! Hmm?
