Who gives a damn but thanks for the info. I went back to the launch trailer and it's actually pretty accurate. It was just a damn good trailer, made everything seemed more exciting than it actually was but it was pretty to true for what we got in game. In the end if it was so bad you could of just returned it, GameStop gives you a week to make a return and get your money back or a new game at that, shoot they were even refunding on the downloadable route.
It being a launch game wouldn't work. They've already tried having Luigi as a launch and compared to Sunshine it didn't sell as much. It was a lesson learned and I bet if they would of launched with sunshine it would of actually sold way more than it did, it was definitely a great Mario game but the GameCube seemed to get a lot of slack and in that sunshine didn't get the praise it deserved. It was a solid game but the whole motion control was a double edge sword and felt it held it back in other aspects, I'd put it in 7th place for the franchise. I know the hate will come but I can't be the only one that feels these games are some what over rated. It's basically cutscenes, shoot , cover, shoot, cover, random unrealistic event that you survive, cutscenes, and the cycle keeps going. Boring as hell.

That series is easily to appeal to the younger crowd in my opinion, yes it can sometimes be challenging but so was super Mario 3 which was my first real experience of Mario.
