@ Kurt Russel, Surely by that logic you will be happy with only one map then? (oops replied to wrong bit)
Actually CoD 2 and 3 were fairly close to being well balanced. Thats the embarassing thing, their earliest entries to this gen were more balanced than the crap they push out annually now
I agree to an extent, The atmosphere in ME1 was second to none in games. The only thing I could compare to would be Bladerunner, and If you are a sci-fi fan you will get how much weight a comment like that carries.
I disagree with not enjoying ME2 though, I still enjoyed it a lot, it was just better in some ways, worse in others. All I want now is a return of more RPG elements and exploration, we have to accept the atmosphere is gone as the music is being handled by someon...
Im glad that Gears 2 put me off the series now. Its weird, I could never really say what had changed so much, but I spent a year playing the original online, But I only played the sequel for a couple of weeks. It just felt very different to me and loved the shotgun ram-raiding of the original MP
Finally people are getting it, the war is pointless. But wow we have some awesome games on both sides. Even outside of the mainstream ones, Heres my 3 favs on both sides
360
Lost Odysey (cant spell that one well)
Mass Effect 1 (better than 2)
Last Remnant (yes glitchy as but no end of stuff to do)
PS3
Heavenly Sword (yes there are much better games)
Demons Souls (dark, dingy yet addictive)
LBP 1 or 2 (...
@vulcanproject, Thanks man finally get it now. Nice to get an answer about tech without someone else jumping in an starting a flame war too
I have to say I think it was the demo that put me off, It was all too industrial all over again and being stuck on rails for the first few mins really didnt help. The jungle would have tempted me more for the demo.
That said though in the time I spent on the demo it looked to me as if the textures had been upped a bit but animations not really changed at all. Im an animations person really and KZ2 just felt better to me
The spritiual successor will be harder which I suppose is icentive, Plus I honestly cant see it being very different at all. I havent beat it so this is a guess. But I imagine a sequel doesnt fit the story?
Because they dont need to, in UK its namco bandai, Atlus only publish in US, however this game sold another copy just yesterday, and I couldnt be happier with it
I dont care if they keep the new gta4 serious tone, or even liberty city, but pease add variety like SA had. The barrage of Urban eyesore gets boring fast since its the setting of 90% of games this gen
I have had ;)requests from girls who I game online with, same as they get plenty of stupid messages. This is overblown crap, people get horny and its nature. To be honest if I was a girl going into online gaming, I would expect to run into a bunch of horny basement hobbits in my time
The real issue is the fact 360 can ban you if a guy has enough ppl on his friends list to full out boycot you for owning him. I had 4 bans for this crap
One thing I never understood, why the hell do we get consoles with such low RAM when its dirt cheap to get a 2gig pc stick. Surely it isnt that costly so why do we get machines that struggle when they reach their edge instead of handling it smoothly and being capable of going much further
See I think its the opposite, Way I see it this attempt of theirs to westernise their games is downfall (and capcoms outright laziness) But normally when someone buys a jap game they expect a jap vibe, not a western one. They have plenty of solid franchises they just need to stop over-tweaking them. Changes are good but overhauls often suck
Its having features removed yes, and the general level of challenge likely wont be as high as on BF2. I hate to admit it but if you give todays gamer BF2 and ask them to beat single player they dont stand a chance. It probably wont be as hard but it will still be the best FPS this year
RPG for the dominant genre, its gaining the needed momentum thanks to mass effects and others, now we need multiple aspects of the RPG to entice people of different tastes
Because they should be, like I said I buy all my games, I love having my collection there when I want it. But honestly the scale of the situation is what worries sony, you have to take a moment to think of what they could get into, PSN could become at risk due to hackers, They dont know how much they can access until they do it is the problem, Sony are worried for good reasons, And I would be if I was them as they must be in a very awkward situation. I only hope it goes well for them
Yeah, that came as a big shock really. I doubt Acti will screw them over yet due to their reputation but in the future maybe, I was really hoping for something new and special from bungie but the activision deal has left me wondering if they could be making the long-rumoured sci-fi CoD.
Please let this happen, BF3 is the only FPS for me, nothing can compare to BF2 even today, BFBC2 is only a fraction of a true BF game. If this can follow the footsteps of BF2 but bring the HD glory CoD wont get half the sales at the end of this year
I actually want to see them take a new direction, they do racing well but I always thought their talents are being wasted a bit, their racers always feel like they are perfectly balanced in realism and arcade fun.
I always got the feeling these guys could make an awesome action/adventure, RPG, or shooter even if the tech wasnt to stand out, I just always felt they would get the pacing nailed which is an absolute must for me personally
Thats the one thing that really tore it down for me, I remebered on ME1 being sent to different reaches of the galaxy to fight off new species in hope for either a completed side quest, some nice new weapons and armour or a bit more knowledge about the protheans. Some of these events felt pretty epic. ME2 had plenty of levels to play but they had NOTHING to do with the story, they just further developed character stories, after which if you had progressed enough you may be able to see a bit m...
