lol what? I will admit square messed up with FFXIII, but they did at least build a whole new engine thats multi-platform in the process. So now if they do mnage to make a decent game it will still feel up to date. CoD engine has been rehashed way too often, especially consdiring the CoD4 engine wasnt exactly miles above their previous outing.
The CoD engine progresses slowly as it is, the amount of time its been left at standstill means they have a LOT of catching up to do...
there also ffXIII-2, although the game has to prove itself worth a purchase after the last escapade
I think we all have different favourites. 7 is one of mine but oddly enough 8 is the top of my list. Doesnt make it better than any of the others though
The Nerve of these guys. They are the biggest selling franchise yet they cant afford to work on an engine or give dedicated servers. This is really low. Every other game company can do it but them apparently.
Cant see CoD being here next gen if they stick with that attitude
I like to think all hack n slash have their own little niche, at least in my heart. God of war for Huge bosses and settings with epic draw distances. Gameplay is a bit stale to me though. Even heavenly sword has a place to me, Its very cinematic like GoW but in a more freeform way if you are good at the moves.
Ninja Gaiden falls more into the Devil May Cry style to me, much more basic hack n slash. Which I think is really good. I dont really want to see NG3 change too much,...
A pretty important contract ends sometime in 2012, I doubt its going to be 2011 purely for that.
Get GTAV out just before the contract ends, Sit and think what their next move is.... I reckon this is what theyre going to be doing

Sort of, Loved the world they made, it reminded me of a jacked up version of hell from God of War. The gameplay was way to stale though. And boss deaths could have been far more brutal.
I just hope their next game doesnt contain a giant wang of death at the end

Not that Mass Effect needs to be on that list anyway (still great game). Even Bethesda (As great as the games are too) dont really deserve that spot, bejewelled and hexic easily could have nabbed 2 of those places
Exactly, A lot of games would have sucked a lot worse had I not put in the time to get the good out of them that often is buried near the end, especially if you like JRPG's, often the meat of the game is actually post-game completion.
Author, man up and play properly. Demons souls is in my PS3 right now and Im not throwing in the towel. Theres about 2 games in total I need to finish I think, Lost Odyssey and SO4, the latter of which may not prove its worth anyway

Doubt it, As technology progresses so do issues, Its no more likely now to have a PS3 or 360 in an OLED tv than it would have been to stick a Mega-Drive in an old box tv
For that to happen the gaming consoles would have to not progress at all for about 10-20 years. And im sure developers would get sick of that fast
You clearly know your stuff so Im just going to ask quickly, How much could you setup a decent gaming rig for with the free help of someone who can put it all together? In GBP if you know the conversion rate would help. I have been thinking about a rig a lot but people tend to exaggerate prices

And BF rips off CoD? no CoD bases its setting on what would fit with the real world, same as an military shooter should, similarities end there. Tanks and Jeeps arent the only method of transport in BF games
