What's with the "true gamer" moniker lately? Need I remind everyone that some hypothetical dude back in the 80's who lived in an arcade and played nothing but Pac-Man in order to get the highest score possible was, and still is, a true gamer? That's one game, let alone one company or system.

Sure, times have changed from the score-attacking arcade days, but you don't measure a gamer by the number of titles he or she enjoys. If someone buys a PS3 j...

Also, remember WiiWare and Virtual Console: The only console in the US with a pixel-perfect version of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and the original Japanese Sin and Punishment is the Wii.

You probably shouldn't include forthcoming games in your list when you're talking about "great games." Do not mention Sonic Colors; it looks great, but don't jinx it!

Sev, why are Journey and Megaman Universe classified as "Coming Soon?" Journey is 2011, and MMU is so new that it doesn't even have an approximate date yet.

This game looks amazing. It's a shame it's on the one console I don't own... but I wouldn't doubt Steam will have this eventually at the very least.

Oh well, at least I'm all set to play Child of Eden and Lost in Shadow next year!

ThatGameCompany really put their best support behind Sixaxis, and Flower was awesome because of it. It's too bad that nobody else could figure it out enough to make something good. Hopefully we'll get some interesting stuff from having a precision-focused motion controller soon. Hopefully.

Because of the good design of the rest of the controller, Sixaxis wouldn't belong on this list. It's a dubious list to begin with, since it involves a lot of accessibili...

Yup. The title of the article fails, but the article itself is very well-researched! I'm wondering if there's a bit of writer-editor disconnect where a title was added later.

I personally thought it was pretty cool to see the ones used for accessibility (one-handed controller, brain controller, the Falcon, left-handed stuff). Fails would obviously include the Frag Master, which is a bit of a cultural phenomenon and also hilarious, and the CyberMan 2, which would ha...

An adventure game? Haven't we stricken that genre title from the record?

I would think that it's a more open title with RPG elements, set probably in a third-person perspective - but people above have also mentioned Snatcher and Policenauts being two in a "series," so maybe it has something to do with that.

I'm praying for ZOE3 because I was a fan of the first despite the awful dialogue, and I was a huge fan of the second because it...

The trailer video didn't really insinuate any set graphic style. I'd imagine they'd be thrilled to have a mashup between different classic looks or maybe modern graphics with added flat sprites when appropriate - the video even has the guy on the early box cover out there, and I don't think they'd have him available in only 8-bit graphics.

However, it doesn't look like 3D movement will be part of it, unless they're really really ambitious, so Me...

I'm a bit disappointed that it isn't a new X either, but who knows what this Mega Man Universe thing will bring to the table? Let's wait for Comic-Con for details... we may be able to make X sequels on our own. Hey, if there's sound recording, we could definitely bring better voice-acting to MM than the guys they used to hire!

Unfortunately, the writer defines the 360 as the winner between "the three consoles" this month. The article doesn't define the 360 anywhere as the number one selling "home console in the US" or "non-portable console in the US." The DS, a cheaper handheld game console (yes, it's a console, http://en.wikipedia.org/wik... ), outsold it, even in the U...

I love how the headline gets rid of half of that statement to garner hits. The quote reads:

"...some value it highly and some are not very happy with it."

Wada is correct here. The team created a polarizing game - it's not for everyone, and you'll typically either love it or hate it. That's not always a bad thing. If I dislike something strongly, I can still appreciate it for bucking the norm and doing its own thing, regardless of th...

I'm hoping that Rockstar's releasing stuff about other games, and will make the initial reveal at a conference soon. Hopefully that's Gamescom, because I couldn't see it being done at TGS. If not, then 2011 it is...

Pardon my quoting of a community source, but here's why Miyazaki looks down on gaming in general: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/...

There were some shooters made from Nausicaa, and they were all about killing creatures that weren't "bad" in the movie, and it undermined the moral fabric of the story. He then saw games as these juvenile crap-fests and probably ...

Gee Soda, it's awesome that you've been able to play all those XBLA games you listed up there already in order to come to that conclusion, instead of just judging on surface value and a few trailers.

Because, you know, Summer of Arcade titles are coming out starting July 21st. Well, not Trials HD, that's already out, so we lowlifes can play one of them. I envy your connection with game publisher higher-ups! Can't wait to finally gain access to those as a reg...

In the full article, he's talking from strictly a reviewer standpoint. It would be interesting to then discuss the pros and cons of turn-based RPG's and act like you've read the article, but that's really not the case. The reviewers that really like turn-based RPG's are tethered by a large company that tells them to address all gamers, whether they're fans of the genre or not.

Step 2 of that process: since a good number of gamers aren't into the ...

Yes, finally! A Bug's Einhander, Einhander Story Racer, Disney's The Einhander's New Groove, awesome.

Wait... (looks closer) nope. Not Einhander. Not awesome.

Time Crisis is probably the best of these covers. The logo looks like it's been through a gunfight itself. I wonder how a logo would step on the pedal to take cover, anyway...

I think the ugliest cover is Heroes on the Move. It's not a catchy logo in itself, and the logo is the entire cover? No way. I have a feeling that cover will change before the game's released.

You know, we're all talking about the gay imagery, but what about the other part of this news article - it's a Japanese quirky shmup. Note that PS3 shmups were few and far between for a long time, people just didn't think we were interested in America.

Then came Soldner X-2, one heck of a great shooter, and by word of mouth and a few reviews, it sold well enough to warrant an upcoming expansion. After that came Gundemonium Collection - if anyone bought that, it&...

Again, people aren't reading the article, just talking about their own preferences or someone else's comment.

Miller, in this article, is being a bit ignorant of the real problem with PSP. He constantly pushes the point that PSP "has good games" out for it, and he can't see why people say that it doesn't have any games.

The problem here isn't whether or not the PSP has good games (I love Patapon 1&2, Dissidia, the sheer ...
