Has any game ever received a 10 in every sub category from IGN? I can only squeeze two games into my budget and I was going to get Batman and BF3, but it looks like the Dark Knight will have to wait a little.
I don't think FPS' don't sell well on PS3, or that PS3 owners don't buy exclusives; I think the problem is that Resistance hasn't done enough to distinguish itself in today's market of FPS multiplayer games. R3 was a great campaign, but the multiplayer (the part that determines whether most people keep, resell, or buy the game) is just okay. It doesn't really stand out or separate itself in any one area. It's a shame because I'd like to see others like the ...
Excited for this but I'll wait for the reviews just to ensure it's not so buggy as Bethesda's other games at launch.
I hate when the first poster says something idiotic and gets his post, along with everyones reply, hidden.
Wow. So happy for Insomniac. And I don't care what anyone says, those graphics are incredible. A well written and cohessive Resistance story? And they brought back all the things I loved about the first one...Kudos Insomniac. Where's that gif of Citizen Kane clapping?
Really wish I had a job right about now. Good job Insomniac. Can't wait to pick this up. This holiday season is stacked. Too many games!
Are they adding trophies to all the old versions? Not to reignite the trophies for MGS4 talk but...well...I still want trophies in MGS4.
Surprised I didn't get a code. If anyone wants to trade an R3 code for a BF3 beta code let me know.
It doesn't have to sell as much as MW3 to make Activision step their game up and maybe reconsider some things (like charging 15 bucks for DLC). And maybe if they have a real competitor they'll do things like, I dunno, monitor the community and prevent hackers from ruining the game. Or maybe get a server system in place that allows us to get in a game w/o it crashing as frequently as it does.
What features would you want? X-game chat? An improved xmb exclusively available to plus members? Not trying to troll btw, just curious as to what features the people that are asking for features would like to see.
If North America ever gets all the Fallout 3 DLC like EU got, then I'm back in.
Crap. I wasn't even aware that his wife was Hale's sister. I know it's probably been said in a bunch of vids but I must've missed that. Sigh...oh well. That's just a small spoiler. They're showing a lot on this game right now so I think I might have to start avoiding coverage of this just like I'm now avoiding coverage of Bioshock Infinite. Too much of a chance for spoilers.
Anyway, thanks for the info on how/why he slimmed down.
He sounds different from his character in Resistance 2, but the biggest difference to me is the difference in his physique from R2 to R3. Maybe I'm wrong, but I remember him being this incredibly muscular sorta wrestler looking dude in the second game. Now he's built like a regular guy. I guess they can say he stopped working out, but without the wool cap, the muscles, and with the different voice it doesn't really feel like Capelli. Maybe they could've gone with a completely ...
Really blown away by how much they've improved the graphics. The cut scenes and the in-game stuff just looks incredible. I wonder if we'll see a special thanks to Guerilla in the credits. The particle effects and level of detail on the enemies looks nuts. Going to need at least 300 bucks for all the games I want this holiday season.
Just make him look like Dante so we can all put this behind us.
Must be a slow news cycle. These articles would only be worth a d@mn if the store clerk pulled on a gun out whenever you tried to purchase both and made you choose one. Personally, I'm getting both games. Horde Morde!
Part of it was the whole big polygon boobies appeal of the first game...but I think people stuck with the franchise because of the exploration and storylines. And it's not like this Lara isn't hot, it's just her measurements are a bit more realistic.
Personally, I haven't played a Tomb Raider game since the second one on PS1 and I'm going to at least give this one a shot.
Don't call it a comeback...they been here for years
The pricing model for games is broken. Not every game can do well at 59.99. Games like Shadows of the Damned should be 39.99-49.99. There's simply too much out there to pay 60 plus dollars on a game like that. A lot of games have this problem. The game would've done much better at 39.99 because at that price it's an impulse purchase for most gamers.
