Things have changed though and he see's that.
The PS3 of today is not the same console as the launch one, it has matured very nicely and I think Gabe saw that.
Some of his complaints still stand, like the PS3 being harder to develop for in comparison to the other consoles but I beleive that is a risk he's willing to take given the maturation of the online aspect of the PS3 and of course that now devs have for the most part learnt the ins and outs of t...
It has become ever so much harder to discern a masterpeice from a great game and a great game from a good one and so on...But then again I find that with the many added dimentions of games today it's also much harder to score them. I for example think Alan Wake is in the top 3 games this year but considering it had faults it got knocked down a couple of pegs, while a more rounded game like BF BC2 scores much higher despite not having those couple of defining characteristics that made Alan...
And frankly any critique beyond that of personal preference is frankly outright stupid as Halo has a tried and tested formula adored by millions.
One can critisise a broken/incosisten/incomplete element of a game but when all the complaints are based off personal preference and then given as a reason why OTHERS shouldn't buy it, that person needs to get their head out of their a** and get off the internet.
On topic - I don't really care for Move or Kinect...not untill I see that game that blows me away, perhaps a propper star wars game hint hint to any possible Lucas Art devs lurking in the dark ;)(nothing on rails tho)
"I'm sure as s*** not paying $5 for a virtual pub with one or two mini-games in it" - The English Pub or whatever it's called is priced around $5 (45kr, the Swedish currency) it only has 1-2 minigames that I know of.
"Free or not it could be a helluva lot better and well to be technical the fun stuff is really only availible to those who wish to pay an ungodly amount of money for it." - Soo much fun stuff is in the stores and all of it costs money ...
Well...Do you want my PSN account? You could also do a quick scroll through my comment history ;)
What was wrong about my comment? Given I haven't actually tried soduim one arena but I have been to that Carnival place and a couple of special events but as I said I don't frequent Home as I have never found anything to keep me interested for more than 5 minutes in Home.
You comment is quite ironic because I think many people (including commodore64 woul...
I especially would love to try the Resident Evil one :D
Ohh and while we're on hot on the tail of examples what about Uncharted 2? Does that not play entirely without installs, on a Blu-ray...and happens to be the most beautiful looking PS3(and console) game?
So by that logic I am a PS3-Hater?
Free or not it could be a helluva lot better and well to be technical the fun stuff is really only availible to those who wish to pay an ungodly amount of money for it.
If I wanted to stand in line to play pool I'd go to the local pool hall...not that we actually have one here :(
Home is an OK place with some Decent mini games but the tediously long loading times and bothersome que's make it a very annoying place to be. I took a peak inside Home a while a go with some mates but considering our internet was at different speeds it meant we'd always have to wait for the people trailing behind with slow internet connections...even wo...
I'm sure this sounds like LBP from the description...nah, but in all seriousness I'll have to see actual gameplay before I get excited.
I hope for your sake you aren't serious, I hope you are just trolling because that was the dumbest comment of the day.
Please check up on this game, the developer and the previous games in his repertoire before speaking, please!
And excuse me but wtf does; "if the paints new its gotta new" mean!?
Was that sarcasm?
If not I'd have to say that you are wrong...
Well there is a difference when talking about a racing game because with a racing game being "better" necessarily means being more accurate, detailed etc as it is a simulation based game...However when comparing that to another genre for example shooters the tides turn as realism now doesn't equal the most fun experience.
But again here we encounter another problem because what aspect of realism are we taling about? If it's visuals it can only be a good thin...
I also disagree with this article as there is one key component that holds the success of Kinect in it's hands and that is the games that come with it. If those are great the peripheral will be a success... along with great marketing of course.
Both consoles are very similar in the respect that they have a s***load more to offer and the 360 has never been counted out of the game, the general impression N4G gives you is that the 360 is the idiots choice; without diversity, great games and a plethora of great and intuitive features...That however is far from the truth as the 360 offers just as an amazing experience as the PS3.
But one truth we can't shy away from is that every gamer is an individual and likes diff...
Even if it isn't a hobby it applies, I mean if I go to rent a movie I have often looked at reviews on IMDB, the director or the actors involved. When I go to buy a new laptop, TV, speakers I often look up and compare specs and prices online to make sure I don't regret my decision later...and I can't fathom why people who want to have a good time playing a game don't take a brief 5-15 minutes to check whats hot and whats not so to speak.
I have a gaming neighbo...
I don't neccesarily agree...The reason why is that the glitches aren't just apparent to one in a thousand but as many to one in three as one run into a glitch that someone uses to their advantage every couple of games.
examples; The rock in afghan, the multiple spots for elevation on almost every map, Predator missile glitch, multiple gun glitches where they for example pop up on the radar despite having silencers for example, Javelin glitch, multiple walls and floors...
His first complaint about the bloated story is just dumb to be honest, RDR had some of the best characters I have seen in a game, all of which drive the very well constructed narrative forward.
As for the missions they don't differ any more or less than any other game in the genre so I don't see a problem there especially since they are soo much fun. Consider the fact that the plethora of mini games are both fun and rewarding and the difficulty is a welcome change con...
You are really grasping at straws now.
