Yeah, I was thinking the same, expecting one of the first comments to pick up on it...game journalism, huh? ;)
It's a freaking controller, some like it, others don't...give it a rest already!
@Vherostar - and everyone else who hold his opinon, I am going to repeat what many people have said multiple freaking time's but you guys just seem to stupid to freaking realise; He is just goofing around...he is not bitching about the score, he is not trying to do anything but get a few laughs and I didn't know that was soo freaking offensive, Jesus H Christ!
My consoles are means to an end; gaming. Not an end in themselves...The games I enjoy more, I play more...it would be statistically impossible for me to enjoy the exact same number of games on both consoles on exactly the same level. Naturally I enjoy some more than other, leading to a preference...but in my mind I rarely think about the console when I buy a game, I think about the game...if it's online I'll usually go with the PS3 becuase in that case I don't have to pay to play ...
While in many aspects I thought GTA IV to be a better game, I definetly had more fun with Saints Row 2...for more of the time. I never felt like anything was 'work', like something I did was utterly booring like in GTA IV, which had soo many mini-games that aimed at adding to the realism and sorta forgot about where the fun was supposed to be fitted.
So much was sacrificed in GTA IV just to serve this 'greater vision' of an immersive city that it forgot it'...
That was a nicely written article I must say and it hits the nail right on the head, in many ways the industry is almost too focused on innovating every bleeding detail except the ones that matter, like upping the ante on story or painstakingly tweaking controls to perfection, not to say that there aren't games with good controls, but none are inching close to prefection and why? I think partly its due to time, games would push 6-7 years if they were that anal, and some do...in which case...
You're like a freaking religious appologetic Delbert and you are starting to piss me off...why, becuase you use to express very good opinions, well informed, well articulated and always a good counter argument but that comment describes perfectly whats wrong with your mind set.
Here's the deal...you complain and complain and complain about everything Sony, something traumatic must have happened :O Then you go and bash every single Sony fanboy for their retarded views ...
Except you don't have to use it...and I don't think you'd complain if it ended up on the 360 as well...then you'd write; 'what an awesome alternative way of backing up saves.'
No of course they are going to release everything as free, becuase Sony doesn't have the right to charge for it like MS does, right? Ohh and once you stop paying for a service you should undoubtedly get to keep using their service, right?...get off it mate and start doing som...
I don't think the 360 is dead neither, I was just making a point to Mr.'Less is more' up there about how exclusives are exciting and a driving force for consumers and game quality alike.
No doubt MS will support the 360, no doubt it'll stay popular and no doubt they'll get back on track with some good games...However status quo is something which I'll never be happy with, which is what tudor car up there has no problem with...I want companies to push b...
'less is sometimes more'- In what sense? the sense that I am restricted to playing only a couple of games that i really love instead of more?.
'I should just accept that the PS3 is better and buy it just because you think that is how I should think'- You made the bold claim that 'The only people that think this are PS3 owners'(refering to title). Well no! I am a multiplat owner of all 3 consoles and I think exclusives are great, for numerous reasons 1....
Nawww! Cute comeback...only one real issue here, are you agnostic in the deistic sense or theistic? Becuase in the theistic sense it still means you carry vastly improbable events to a high regard...which frankly is ill advised if you want to avoid using relative sets of criteria for truth. On a deistic level well who give and a f***, since it doesn't have an implication upon your life in any case.
Now back to the topic at hand, i.e the one you're avoiding with you...
Meh...looks alright, but not really a up with the other racers coming this year.
Coming from a man with both consoles to reference?...No? The difference is marginal between 95% of multiplats and only really if you owned both would the incentive be there to worry about +2 FPS and slightly better AA...In effect my case, not yours.
The problem is not about which has which, but the focal point is that of which gives incentive to chose a console (if one now has to do that)...and I think if you settle with the mind set; 'well it's ok that it has less be...
I sure hope not, and I don't think it's plausible either...I doubt this console generation is over, for some time to come and I don't think MS is about to ditch a loyal following of hardcore gamers for some short term financial goodness. I think they know that the casual market is much more short lived and hype based...so I think they know they can't ride that train forever.
Utterly ridiculous but a very funny read XD
Coming from anyone else, I would see that as funny but from you it's got nothing but a trolling undertone...shame.
Trollin' as always delbert...I am just wondering, does it ever get booring? no ofcourse not, how silly I am you have to balance the system here on n4g ;)
Take some time to actually read articles, it might help kid.
So you have defended MS owned or funded publications but condem Sony one's for being biased...dude adjust your goggles mate.
I think they are all giving a pretty decent personal opinion...take of the tin-foil hat and you may see that; GameTrailers, Game Informer, TheSixthAxis, Destructoid etc and more gave it 90+...are they also biased or do they perhaps have an opinion that differs from yours?...I'd say only a handful of reviews have some bias in them, and I'd be...
Screenshots do not do this game justice, a principle true of many games but for this one the magic lies in seeing it in motion. More awesome trailers is what we need to hype this through the roof, becuase even though this might be hit or miss it's heading in the right direction; innovation rather than just refinements of old formulas.
