I ran through it with my friends and none of us remember the story. My friend actually complained about the story and grind in the beginning and he was only enjoying it because he was playing with his friends. But then as we got to the end he fell in love with the games depths.
The endgame content kept him playing but the story was not to his liking at all. So, if he would’ve waited for this version he probably would’ve loved the game full stop.

And that’s completely on Gearbox, you guys are acting like it was Sony who said “hey, strip out the multiplayer to Godfall and we will put it on Ps plus”, Gearbox split their code and was willing to give this version. Which honestly if you played the game would now is a beefy amount of content.
And skipping the tideous grind and being at level 50 from jump not having to hold onto crap loot leveled 30-40 levels under is a huge time save.

I am going to say it, you guys really aren’t taking this for what it really is. A demo is a game that gives you a fixed position in a game with a limited amount of time without access to the core functions of the game.
This is not a Demo, you get maxed level cap(which circumvents the grind that I had to do through the story), it gives you all the hunts and boss battles (dream stone mode), let’s you unlock all models of characters, gives you the tower ascent mode(again the r...

The problem with that theory is, this isn’t a demo. The three modes they give is the endgame grind. The towers are chalked with challenges. The dream stone modes are full on boss rush. You can unlock all suits and you get to play light bringer.
If you played Godfall you’d know a lot of the story is just fluff. They are actually doing you a favor letting you jump straight into co-op and letting you unlock and customize off the jump.

They put out multiplayer only content all the time with only a few modes. Fortnite, CoD, halo multiplayer, splitgate, apec legends. Why single out Godfall?
I rather see something at the one year mark. We saw gameplay for everything that’s been announced thus far releasing in the next 6 months at least a year a head.

Since the other article was taken down I’ll say it here. The in engine cut scene does not reflect gameplay or design. It doesn’t show interactions in the world or anything. For something being toted as this huge immersive game, some type of gameplay should’ve been shown by now.
