I bought it on PS5 because it came with the PS4 copy digitally. My intent was to play it with my son but he had no interest. But I still platinumed it.
It was worth the price of admission to me. But with that said I had it from gamepass too. I played it for a little bit but it didn’t last long so idk mileage will vary per persons choice. But the game is still a lot of fun with friends.
Asking this is like asking if free to play games are worth it. Of course it is, but just like with f2p games it’s up to the individual to decide if they want to invest/continue playing the game
That’s where the skills make the difference as well. If you combine the skills with equipment abilities plus augments you can achieve pretty great combinations. And have different styles per plate.
Obviously each plate caters to different stats(fire,water,earth,critica l etc) so the depth is based on your own imagination. Unless you go for building online “perfect builds”
The armors are different designs as well as build types. They also have things they specialize in with different special attacks.
You can customize the valor plates with augments that give extra stats and abilities to help you achieve desired effects. Because even if you can have the same equipment it doesn’t have the same output.

I liked the demo a lot, the character models of npcs were still a little awkward and the character we play as didn’t seem as detailed as the agents or neo and trinity. But still looked extremely impressive.

Yeah shooting doesn’t really feel good, adjusting sensitivity is a good idea. The enemies are so bland and unimpressive. The melee feels tacked on, coming from games like doom that has melee that feels super tight and engaging swift and powerful. Melee in this feels like it slows things down for them to be throwing hoards at you.
It feels like an example of just because you can go big doesn’t mean you should.
