Before I saw this is how I stated I would see a Superman game. Make it where we feel invested in the city and want to protect it from others and ourselves.
Maybe even make a mechanic that allows us to “weaken” ourselves to reduce destruction.
Batman Arkham City was you playing as a dying human being slowly degrading until the end result. Pretty sure they can give a captivativing Superman game narratively. The real issue is the way games are designed now and days aren’t good for every character and engines need to start evolving.
We have had plenty of deep dives on how asset streaming was terrible on old spinning discs. Which is why the techniques modern games have wouldn’t help to capture a power set like Superm...
It’s funny because the things they add to make it an “easy mode” are things you can just do playing the game and grinding a bit. Want to hit harder? Put all your points into attack. Want to tank hits slap all those points into HP.
You want to get a bunch of runes? Just run around the map and look for skulls with glowing eyes on torrent.
Just play the game and stop being afraid to die. It’s inevitable in a game and it happens. That’s why we have the abil...
I have this downloaded on my ps5 just waiting for me to start if.
I downloaded it on gamepass, had an interest in it when first revealed. But the closer it got to launch the more I lost interest. So when I finally played it thought I would be renewed. But all it felt like was a beefier version of astral chains which I also was disappointed in.
Difference is I guess that I have learned which type of games I am not into. One cost me 60 to learn the other was apart of my paid subscription. Neither will work for me in the end.
This game gets so many passes, it’s sad to see how much this franchise has fallen.
I bought it through ps plus, but I never downloaded it. I have no intentions to download it either it was just a perk. And honestly, that’s how I’ve grown to feel about a lot of these services, even though it’s available Doesn’t mean I am interested in it.
Although I did beat and enjoyed the game. There are definitely things I would like to see changed in sequels:
1. Be more polished, lots of combat bugs and exploits that were just down right goofy at times. Characters attacking the air for finishers, enemies being alerted mid transition between in game dialogue.
2.Those slide mechanics can be limited or adjusted because they were excessive and meaningless at times.
3. Better enemy varia...
@September I can literally find several articles of games not compatiable on the Wii U and 3DS from prior generation. And that list is almost the same of anything you could find to discount PS3 BC (which are games that used special connectors, add ons, slots not found on the device) and if you want to use that as the argument that PS3 couldn’t play everything then that applies to Wii U and 3DS as well meaning from your definition we’re both wrong.
Even though still I have b...
I beat the first two and the third is still a struggle for me to start. But honestly I would like to see more espionage/heist and white in future titles. Less brutality porn with the new ones.
Maybe get a good blend of all three elements
@september then you aren’t keeping it simple at all because you just created several reasons why you define “true BC”. You are trying to over look the point of my example OF the PS3 model that had it. Which isn’t making it any less true since that mode DID support full BC from disc at that as well.
I have stated multiple times, that the BC that has been done since then is partial. Which is 100% true, the systems either only do 1 gen prior or even 40-70% of the titles from p...
@september I definitely said backwards compatible console. And the Wii U would fall into the same standards of 1 generation prior BC which is a standard for these systems period. The ps3 had true bc as it played every ps1 and every ps2 game without any buffers or limits.
@ted the 360 had a small portion of BC titles as most of the Xbox catalog did not work on 360. That’s partial BC no matter how you wish to spin it. If you are going to down one platform BC as being limited,...
Well you can’t really do that with any consoles then except ps5/ps4 and Xone/seriesSX. Even on the Microsoft side the BC is half baked for older titles as it’s always been from Xbox-360 to 360-xbone.
The only true bc device to ever exist was base ps3 in the last 13 years. So it’s been over a decade we haven’t seen “true” BC so why complain now?
It seems like you are looking for something to hate that’s been pretty established for a long time now. At some...
You mean like switch online? Something we still don’t know (which Sony still has time to say) is if when it hits psn. Will it be buyable outside of psplus. Only way I see it not is if those games are 100% cloud based.
I’ve been having a blast playing the game as it is a very fun game. Aesthetically it seemed like they really shortcut a lot to get it out. It’s unfortunate though as I don’t see this as a game that would get a part 2. The dlc will add content but it won’t be like the type of upgrade ni-oh to ni-oh 2was.
But if they make a final fantasy 2 stranger of paradise I wouldn’t mind they improve the graphics and performance at all.
I’ve been grandfathered into this program and have a huge collection from it. Mostly game I get from psplus/gwg/gamepass/now but on PC so my pc collection is insane. But I’ll probably never play a bulk of the games I have
Starting this one after I finish horizon even though I really want to start it now!
This article really doesn’t list the full list of games nor does it break anything down. It just says they added a few games and removed some and the total value for month a is this and month B is that.
When psplus/gwg breakdowns we’re done the full list and their Msrp at given time we’re labeled. And the thing that’s odd to me is how gamepass is being seen as better then the standard subs (plus/gwg) and the amount year over year with a lot of day 1 releases even on plus.

Perfect timing, I just beat Elden Ring and about to jump back into Horizon and it would be very nice to have this feature for my convenience
@elda I legit feel the same sentiments to gamepass. I have it its cool but most of not everything I already own, played or never intended to play. I won’t get any real benefits from gamepass until maybe next year if not two years.
I’m happy people are looking into games they never thought they’d try but a lot of people are disingenuous with the service. Major bias and it’s something I just let be.
