Saying sekiro is a souls game is like saying kingdom hearts is a final fantasy game since it had final fantasy characters and created by final fantasy devs/company.
So throwing it on this list when they genuinely chose to go so far left of souls games is doing their vision of the game a disservice.
I’m not excited right now for MS, Halo infinite was announced 2 years ago and released in the worst state with tons of fans making excuses for it. Rare and other studios have been having nothing but shifts in devs for games like perfect dark.
Fable reboot is looking to be suffering from identity crisis from rumors. Hellblade 1 took 3 years to make with an indie level budget. Microsoft buys said company in 2018 and 4 years later we still haven’t seen viable gameplay.
Sekiro isn’t a souls game, and dark souls 2 higher then anything else automatically makes this list irrelevant. Even if I can agree with 1 placement the rest just feel like controversy for the sake of it
Ironic how a lot of their games will more then likely release AFTER my subscription of 2 years game pass lapses from the launch bundle they dropped. Almost as if they know most people who spoofed the system and had years stacked will expire around that time.
Gamepass is turning to be the ultimate hustle if they truly choose not to release games until 2024
It’s commendable what these devs pulled off in cross gen titles. Proved a lot of points along the way. They proved the difference in the systems with games like horizon showed that with pre-rendered cut scenes used to cover loading car in engine. Higher fidelity and smoother frame rates on newer system.
Showed yeah you can put these games on older hardware but it limits them overall. I wish resident evil 8 would’ve stayed next gen only. Games going forward are evolving and...
Lol wild
If I buy another Nintendo device going forward it will only be if one of my sons want one. This is generation 3 of Nintendo disappointing me on their hardware. Pokémon is my most played game but not 500 I spent on a base model and lite.
I haven’t touched it since sword and if it weren’t for my sons it would have gotten no play time. Not making that mistake again in the future.
Nintendo has so much to prove to me and I’m just going to keep a watchful ...
Has Halo Infinite already started the trend? And the last MLB the Show was reviewed lower for lack of quality improvements. I can only assume that going forward more 1st party titles that are released day one will be of varying standards/quality. Sure you will get the one off it's fantastic, but as you can see things are relatively middling on average.
Shit I’m happy they focusing on ps5 and series consoles now. Honestly, there are about 40 million users for the 2 that’s more then justifiable to move forward
I’m so glad they killed the ps4 and Xbox versions. I like what I see as all characters look and seem like they feel different then playing as Batman.
Red Hood looks like a tank which is understandable. Someone had to be the tank of the group in giving variable gameplay styles. He surely would be the most played if he was as mobile as Batman/Nightwing.
Probably more sandboxes oriented missions that don’t have as much effects going on as the main missions. Reduced particle effects and what not. I’m down, but I can only think of all the limitations this game is probably facing trying to be on last gen and next gen systems.
I don’t “purely” see it from aesthetics. I gave an example of nostalgia through aesthetics yes. But, I don’t see it only as visual aesthetics.
I see it as gameplay mechanics, technology and even sales. People seem to forget the cost of games in the 90s we’re 60-120 for a game. No dlcs no expansions.
Yet they were viewed as “replayable” not because they had good mechanics but because they were design with mechanics not friendly to the player.

Lost me when we’re pat the March deadline and no co-op.
Trek to Yomi is my interest out of the list. I been taking a gaming break so it might be a nice small game to jump in beat and move on.
I honestly hate discussing nostalgia with people. It’s always the same dialogue… “back in the day” “when I was a kid!” *insert petty inconvenience*…
And when you give a differing view it’s always perceived as an attack and not an additional view. People put to much of their existence into nostalgia, using it as a validation of life and not an experience.
I personally remember older games looking breath taking back in the day. So, seeing them now with all ...
The best advice for all games
Watching all the people pretend care when they were previously hating on PS Now is funny. Then acting like games leaving a service is new and other services haven't been doing it (including this one if you bothered to use it) golden the hate that manifests in fanboys hearts
This is what happens when you praise everything that releases on a service. It loses value in others eyes because you start praising EVERYTHING even if it is mediocre.
This is like the ravenous campaign Netflix had promoting every movie and show but not following up on a lot or even cancelling them due to “viewership” for the first 5 minutes.
Will gamepass go the route of its successful based on downloads? If so, how is that a measure when I have a bunc...
I enjoyed this game enough to platinum it, I don’t know if I enjoyed it enough to fork out another 40 bucks though
Crazy seeing people trying to be negative over this.
