Microsoft may eventually bury their own console by allow most of their AAA "exclusives" to be released on PC platform. How many potential buyers have said, "Oh, Ill just buy it for my PC..." In my opinion RROD is not Microsoft's biggest mistake for the current console war as they have already proven consumers will buy the Xbox360 dispite reliability issues, but instead it is the bridge that they have created between the console and PC markets.

It all just seems like another way for Microsoft to get (sight-impaired) consumers to pay for something that should be free. I mean TV shows and made-for-tv movies are things that you already paid for once (if you have cable or satellite) even if you didn't watch them. Also, now that cable and satellite providers have digital on-demand services and a DVR STB, one really never has to miss a favorite show.

Microsoft will only drop the price of Xbox 360 when they think it is in trouble. (or they decide to compete with Wii 1-on-1) At this point its price is lower than the PS3, and Microsoft's gaming division, despite great sales in 2007, hindered itself by having to pay out of pocket to remedy the RROD issues.
because Sony allows the developers/publishers to own and administer their own games servers. Psn as a whole is a very relaxed system just as with PCs. Developers/Publishers can even decided whether or not they want to charge for services and set their own prices.
happened when I turn off my PS3 while I was logged into a game. The problem seemed to go away after I just went into the single player mode and finished a level and allowed it to save to my HDD. It never happened again after that.

If this is the same build from TGS then I believe that Konami has said that (correct me if i'm wrong) the controls will be set up differently for the Japanese and NA markets, and that the traditional alternative will be an available option.
I know for sure that Konami said that the interface was put together only for demo purposes and will be completely different (new) when the game goes retail.

If it is the same for both platforms, then a smart consumer will choose which system has other games that he/she would enjoy and purchase that version.
I'm not sure how things work on Xbox Live as far as who is responsible for the servers, but I believe that the PS3 version of COD4 servers (and many other games that use PSN) are administered by the game developers/publishers.

They will most likely use some sort of DRM that would make the game inactive whenever you canceled the service. This is a great idea though for those who own a PSP. You will have a nearly endless number of games to use for Remote Play.
What I mean is that Nintendo has marketed the Wii to be a "Easy for all" (Kids to the Elderly) system to own. So when all of those new and lightly casual gamers purchased a Wii, they were attracted to Wii sports which comes with the system. Chances are that these owners aren't going to be buying many of the new games that come out for the system.
