I don't even bother looking at the new release section anymore as it's flooded with Early Access and Greenlight crap. Other than that Steam is still a solid platform.
I enjoy a few HD remakes as well, I'm really looking forward to Halo MCC, but it just feels like no one is taking big risks anymore due to financial limitations.
