Good to hear you are enjoying it, was about to ask you on Steam last night :-)
They will have a tougher time in the F2P space if they continue to make lackluster titles, because you can't make money off "hype".
F2P titles require a lot of polish that makes a good first impression, and you need content and a structure to keep that player playing, and a certain % paying. It's a lot easier to uninstall a mediocre free game, than one that you paid $60 for.
What's amazing is that, despite having such high piracy rates,...
This, there has never been a good one.
It's f2p, so no, try again.
@mistajeff
You are well misinformed, W8 is still completely open as previous Windows, there is just an optional marketplace, perhaps you meant to say OS X.
Wow, looks great, a worthy addition!
I don't feel obligated to support this game at $40 "to prevent reprocussions". I will pay the amount that I feel it is worth($10-15 atm). That is one great thing about Steam deals and its analytics, developers can view the revenue earned based on a games pricing, and then THEY can attribute that to the quality of their work. Guess what? Quality PC ports are pretty common today.
The list creator seems to have left Dota 2 off for Valve, calling fake.
Sweet! I wouldn't be surprised if System Shock is revisited after Bioshock Infinite.
Hah, one will be out in October, but not made by PCF
I understand WHY it is like this, but I don't buy all this Western/Japanese excuses. Capcom develops on the PC and ports to consoles as well as Square Enix. I will wait for reviews and may just pick it up on launch day.
Yea the title is not a very good one. Should be more like "DYI: Optimizing your PC"
@Yi-Long
Yes I agree, SSF4 and SFxT both have about $50 in DLC on Steam...
lol he says Dragon Age's combat was slow, it's pretty obvious he's never played any old school WRPGs.
"Remember, no barking"
Not enough, Sony breaking into mainstream cloud gaming, Ouya becoming the first open source console while Valve complains about Windows 8. If they want to stay on top, they need to take the first steps. The Linux push is not a bad idea, but about 3 years too late. I'm all for Valve to succeed, they are gamers who care about gamers.
Their march towards the land of free software, donations, and mandatory trials, sounds profitable.
Bioshock used UE2.5
Next-gen Toad Tech confirmed
How is that F2P? You're supposed to cut down all barriers of entry.
