Hehe, you should have heard some of the comments we cut away :)
It will definitely be bad for KeSPA's business.
If what Mike says is true though, they simply want to be involved rather than making loads of money.
Also, KeSPA has illegally sold Blizzard's rights to others anyway.
This is really exciting news. The MMO has already been confirmed to not be part of other worlds, and this IP to being independedn? Very good!
They will continue to work with SC2 too. It's different teams, and each team can realistically only be so large without cooperation becoming convoluted.
I usually never say bad things about Blizzard, but I am actually quite disappointed by this. Not even a smi-LAN mode? Come on, this sucks :(
Yeah, def.
More like up to maximum of a hundred million or so.
Tens of millions of potential customers :)
This is probably the reason why LAN is not allowed. It's the main way SC1 is pirated in China.
All in all, it sounds as if Blizzard themselves are not interested in any of that.
That's a relief.
Gosh, you're a rich one! :)
Ready for Release I say!
Well, they have a pretty rabid fan base :)
Hehe, Frank PEarce is so cool :)
I'd imagine there's primarily technical reasons. They are piggy-backing on the WoW infrastructure (except for Australians), and it's just easier to handle in regions.
Sucks though...
Lol, I will likely have to buy an American box as well anyway.
EU CE and US normal.
You think? This will be the same servers. Why make Beta so much more limited?
I think it's silly they have so little space for maps per person.
What's that about?
Taking a step back always helps. :)
Yep, counting the days! :)
