MS doesn't need to catch up. It's right where it wants to be. It's not using hardware to go against the PS4, but software. That's MS' strength by the way.
You've never played Halo in your life.
The Black Ops series was the last CODs I played and liked. I really hope this is true.
I thought midnight launches only occur when proven franchises launch. Not that Bloodbourne doesn't deserve it. But I can see games like Uncharted 4 getting a midnight release. Or even GT7.
Megabytes lol. I know the abbreviation is supposed to be Mbps.
Xbox Two and PS5 system specs:
10 mg/s download = medium graphics settings
15 mg/s download = high graphics settings
30 mg/s download = ultra graphics setings
lol
Well, that's the thing. They weren't comparing graphics. Resolution is not graphics. Funny this site tries to disprove someone of something yet has little knowledge of it themselves.
Lol @Disagrees
I guess you guys don't know what it is either.
For one thing they're not price competitive. The $500 versions gets you only a little bit more performance than the X1/PS4. That's not enough to get people to jump on board.
Sad but true.
I don't think you will be allowed to stream a game to the X1 if that same game is on the Xbox/Windows store. I think you'll have to buy it from the their store. So you'll just have the PC version of the game. But you will be able to play the Xbox/PC crossplay games and get both the Xbox version and PC version.
The fact that you can't comprehend with what Phil wrote shows just how tech illiterate you are. Explain to me. How would software change hardware. It can't. Software can make it more efficient and easier to work with, leading to improvements.
Apparently you don't know what dramatic means either. You know what would be a dramatic increase? The X1 increasing its frame rate an res to 4k 120fps. If the X1 happened to boost a game 900p to 1080p, that isn't a dramat...
Why do people who don't like a console care about what goes inside it? I can tell you with complete honesty that I couldn't care less what goes inside the PS4. That's not a jab against the PS4. I just. Don't. Care.
@wsoutlaw87
But MS didn't focus on TV. At their reveal they were simply showing the different funtions of the console. Such as snap, and being able to go back and forth to different apps instantly with your voice. One of those applications happened to be TV. But a lot of you just figured it was a tv box for some odd reason. As if it wouldn't play games also.
They also stated that they were saving any game announcements until E3, which was right around...
@Muzikguy
So Sony didn't just launch a TV service in select cities on PS4? Sony doesn't allow you to stream Dish through the PS4? Sony doesn't have Netflix, Hulu, Crackle, etc?
Just because they say they're "for the gamers," doesn't mean they aren't also focused on TV. So if somebody tells you that their knife isn't sharp would you let them stab you with it? I do not understand the opposition against TV from fanboys. All...
I don't think Nintendo going mobile is a sinking ship. Just their consoles. The Wii and Wii U were are their holes in the hull. Everything before these two consoles launched, things were going fine for them.
Yea I know, the Wii caught lighting in a bottle and got millions of casuals on board. But now that the casuals are over it, and those Wiis are collecting dust, the money stops. Casual gamers aren't the ones that are going to keep supporting your product. Hardcore ...
Um last I checked, every OS has some restrictions on what you can and cannot do. Tbh, everything digital has some restrictions.
This gen is just over a year old and people are expecting the best here and NOW. It's a bit idiotic to ask for that when people who have been playing games for while, know that you won't see anything that will completely blow you away in this amount of time. We are still using old engines and very old development techniques. We haven't even used the consoles to their strengths yet and people are already saying they're weak.
In all honesty I would like better ...
I can tell the difference easily when it's 720p vs. 1080p. But resolutions like 900p vs. 1080p, or 720p vs 900p, I can't tell the difference. Its just way to close. Which is why we have to get experts like the people at Digital Foundry to tell us the difference. If it was THAT obvious you wouldn't need experts.
Look at this scenario:
Imagine Android released an OS version for phones/tablets that ran Android OS. But this particular firmware doesn't support the Samsung Galaxy phone line, which runs on the Android OS. Tell me how stupid that sounds?
Now MS said that DX12 runs on all Windows 10 devices. It will run on the Surface tablets, all the windows phones and every other PC that uses Windows 10. But MS conveniently chooses to not include the X1 for DX12. Whi...
If shinobi didn't say it I cant fully believe it yet. I really hope so though.
