It will come out at a price point that is the most profitable, it will be adjusted as that profitable price point shifts over the years. Rich people and fanatics first then moving down the poor scale as is common in business.
Really interesting looking game, will be interesting to find out more about the gameplay mechanics.
@joey The clause only applies if you are taking all the "free" stuff from microsoft to help develop your game, like developer xboxs, unity license etc atm. After launch they should be able to afford the equipment with the money they make so clause wouldnt apply.
Should have remained banned. If i went around bumping everyones house doors i would be jailed regardless of my intent.
If people don't complain then testing prices quickly become final prices, then you would complain and it would be too late.
Sony is a big company, they will go for the most profitable pricing system they can get away with. They are not your friends, they don't do this to make you happy, you are nothing but a bag of walking money to be exploited by them regardless of what you might think.
Time for a new engine then.
They should just release the full PC versions on console with tweaks to make it more controller friendly, releasing beyond earth on the new consoles would have been interesting.
Because 4gb of ram would have been a joke in this day and age, never mind in a few years from now. 8gb shared for both gpu and system is the minimum they could safely get away with.
Think ipad and Hdmi dongle for the first option, then sega master system and game gear for second. Would be interesting to see which way they would go.
So far so good, only slight disappointment is that all company's wanted to make a profit on console sales from day one which has left us with mid range systems this time around, instead of just getting game fee sales revenue for first few years.
If they cannot get it down to Netflix or Amazon prime level with a yearly subscription then it will have a hard time. The current pricing is crazy for such old games, it could launch at this point to get the rich and fanatics but I cannot see it lasting that long.
With those they will do fine, sims 4 begins a whole new cycle of cash grabbing dlc and expansions, good times ahead for them.
Borderlands mmo, give me.
Hopefully the PC release has given them enough feedback to make some decent improvements before console release. I can dream.
152mb virgin media, great service if you can get it here in uk.
I would have expected some sony exclusives for the ps3 considering it was supposed to be fully supported for 10 years.
Welcome to the digital age. Will take me about 10mins to download so no problem here. Disc are nothing more than DRM these days.
I am looking forward to watchdogs 2, the first has sold very well and i am sure that will give them the financial confidence to push the next one further with a bit more of an interesting main story and lead character. Thief was horrible, hopefully they can do something to ESO to make it a bit better before the console release.
Sony is more reliant on naughty dog than microsoft is on halo at this point.
Seems like every game that comes out makes the claim that they are pushing something to the limit.
