Since according to n4g users every ps4 player also has a high end PC, I don't expect this game to sell any copies on the ps4. /s
Just imagine what those numbers would have been if this was actualy a great game, goes to show that theres a real opportunity here for this type of game, really hope something like borderlands has taken note.
They are going to churn out about 3 - 4 destiny games in that 10 year period. They are committed to destiny for that time period and I don't really see them doing much outside of that.
It's a good game but it's missing that special something that makes you want to play it over and over again, this is just an alpha so its hard to say if the full release will still be missing it.
Best game of the year so far on the new gen of consoles.
Nintendo are a very old thinking company that are still stuck in the past, on one hand you have apple and co with their almost worldwide launches then you got Nintendo still sticking to one or 2 territories then a few more half a year later all while region locking everything. I love Nintendo but their way of doing buisness is troubling.
Shortly after launch could mean anything from them, could be next week, next year or never.
Would love to just be able to get the oculus rift and it work on everything PC, ps, xbox, wii, but seems everyone's going to be doing their own separate thing and this is the biggest downside to it. Especially when you know that the console ones will probably not work on the next gen as almost always happens with this type of thing.
I used to love opening up a new game, pulling out the massive manual and spending the next hour on the crapper reading it from cover to cover. Now we lucky to get anything beyond the disc and all in the name of being environmental, but we all know it's just to cut costs so they make more profit as those books were quite costly to produce. Nice to see someone trying.
Totally agree, those developers that have launch day embargoes usually have games that are dodgy in some major way.
Got to agree, the systems and firmware are much more complicated this gen it's asking for trouble by not having a large testing group.
Well you forget the beauty of PC gaming, every year technology advances and every year it gets cheaper 8k might be a hard thing to reach for most today but what about in 2, 5 or 10 years. Unlike console games PC games are not limited to one generation, you could easily revisit this game in 3, 10, 15 or whatever many years from now and play it using what you have then. There have been many PC games that I couldn't play at uber settings at launch but after a few years I come back to the...
Same, its been too long since fallout, cannot wait to see it on the new gen of consoles.
Yeah PC this gen is always going to come out top of the pile.
I have enjoyed it so far but the game needs a lot of content to keep you entertained, half a dozen maps and a handful of monsters is not going to cut it with this one. Without the content the game feels like it would get boring quick, some games you can play the same map and such over and over but I don't think this is one of those. Hopefully its not just a one trick pony and they are keeping a lot of stuff back.
Hopefully once all the DLC is out of the way they will release a complete collection on the next gen consoles.
Halo MCC which is 5 games in one, Forza and Sunset overdrive. Microsoft hit a home run and then some this holiday such an amazing lineup.
Nice game and for free you cannot go wrong.
Only real difference between the consoles atm so of course the fanboys blow it massively out of proportion, then it will be back to counting leaves or whatever these people do instead of playing the games.
This gen is ripe for online RPGs, you just have to look at the destiny sales to see how many ps4s and x1s are connected to the internet and capable of playing such games now.
