While this gen might not last as long as the last i think the consoles themselves will be around for a long time as they will get turned into cheap game streaming boxes alongside the new gen.
Sony never had the infrastructure capability to use the type of DRM Microsoft was going to use. Fortunately for them the developers stayed out of the argument with their long term war on second hand sales problem.

Theres been worst games than whats on this list, seems the writer just hates sports games and COD with watchdogs and sims 4 thrown in because it's the cool things to hate. Rambo is the only thing i agree with and that has to be closer to number one then where it is.
If you can have this level of quality exclusives and be considered a lost cause then there is something seriously wrong with these so called gamers today.
If i hadn't seen 4k gaming I would have agreed as it seems weird that something could be so much better than 1080p, but i got to tell you after seeing it the difference is big almost like SD>HD better. I dont see 4k to 8k being such a big jump but then again I haven't seen that in action.
Sony are having a hard time supporting the server needs of their first party games atm, they don't have enougth for third party. Microsoft actually offers dedicated servers to third party games if they want it cause they have more than enougth capacity. So if they took up Microsofts offer they would have to look elsewhere or set up their own system for supporting the playstation version, which would be extremely more expensive. Because of console parity they decide it's not worth ...
Console parity, Microsoft could easily help with the dedicated servers for the xbox but Sony wouldn't be able to do the same for the playstation.
More games like diablo 3, I don't like split screen very much but I really like that style of couch coop game and is why I usually end up buying the Lego games.
There was a time when I had a lot of Sony stuff in my house, CD player, TV, laptop, playstation. Now the only Sony thing I have is the playstation

Between ps4 and x1 the Xbox has had the better line up both last year and this year, next year is going to be really hard one since the ps4 will have their biggest game being released in uncharted.
Wait a few months and get both for the same price as one.

I expect microsoft to suck up a few more big AAA exclusives before this time next year also, sony will continue sucking up some more indie games cause thats all they can afford atm. If the tables were turned sony would be doing the exact same thing, as they have done it in the past anyway so they are not above this type of deals, they just too poor atm to get the meaningful AAA ones.
As a multi console owner its great to see microsoft splashing the cash on these games anyway...

Still sold a lot of copies even though it had the worst possible launch and post launch problems so they safe, if it had been a random third party they wouldn't have sold many copies and would be closing up shop soon.
Good thing that multiplats aren't the only decent games on said console then at the moment unlike on the other.
Nemesis system needs to win something, that is ultimately what sets this game apart from the other 3rd person games. Give it a year or two and we will start seeing something similar to it being used in many games.
