Game is going to be sweet, they did great work with Dragon age inquisition.
lol
You must have the memory of a goldfish if that is true, there's been lots of games with equal or more hate over the years. People hating on games is nothing new.
I watched some of the playthrough and tbh it really feels like a film, cutscenes and QTEs are everywhere. It does look damn nice though and if it was a movie at the cinema i would go watch it. In fact i might get out the popcorn and stream these vids to my tv so i can sit back and watch the rest of it and save my £55 for something else.
Same, i have noticed some of the past downtimes but i didn't have any trouble at all on sunday and had a solid day of gameplaying.
As long as I can get 11-15 hours out of a game and it's of a good quality I don't mind spending £55 on it, if it drops below 10 hours then I wouldn't be wanting to spend that much on it.
The lack of decent tombs was one of my main issues, you cannot have tombraider with crappy tombs. Really glad that they are making them more interesting. The more I hear the more I cannot wait to get my hands on this game.
A linear game is a lot easier to test and bug fix than an open world game though, as games get more complex and massive there's a lot more chance of bugs popping up and being missed in testing. I always expect linear games to be considerably less buggy than something like dragon age inquisition and I tend to be a bit more forgiving the more open world it is.
@ziggurcat the key word being "best state", open world games are going to be different to linear ones. ...
This is an app update not a firmware update, March update will come in march.
Kind of surprised they couldn't hit 60fps considering the weird resolution they gone for with the black bars.
I would love to see some next gen gameplay mechanics, something like the nemesis system from mordor for example would work really well here.
Really glad this ones got a demo as atm I am not sure if I should get this or not.
Even the sega master system versions were very good, horrible how much they have butchered the poor little blue guy.
This guy has been in the business a long time and done a lot of stuff both gaming and beyond, really been interesting to see him speak out so positively about DX12.
@jairus if you were a pc user you would know about him and stardock, they are not just game developers.
The beta was good, really hope we see a lot of the better mmorpgs come over to console this gen.
Considering this was a launch game they did a great job with the graphics, overall it was actually quite a fun hack and slash game.
The sony fanboys went so far as to send death threats to the people involved in the making of this game so i expect every article about tomb raider to be filled with hate by the sony faiftful. Expect it to get worse as the greatness of this game shines through at the upcoming events and around release. The first game was amazing and this one seems to be improving on everything.
Come this holiday i will have both tombraider and uncharted to play, life is good for the multico...
The directors, writers etc are always so obsessed with putting their own stamp on the movies and in doing so loose what made the original game stories and characters good.
That's a good list of games and some good discounts, quite a few games I want also!!
The fact it has destruction derby has peaked my interest, that was first game I played on the ps1 having rented it from blockbuster.
