Hit the nail on the head.
If I had played that card when I started gaming then I would have been missing out on a lot after Atari, Intellivision, Sega and so many others dropped out of the console business.
What if they stay in gaming but go the Sega route and just do games on other systems? What will you do then???
It's more their TV business and other areas that are needing the attention, as the PS side has seen a turn around already.
Sony has the same issue that Apple does of making a product and pricing themselves out of the market with it. (talking Apple computers here) Sony TVs are too expensive for the market to handle... especially with the economy the way it is today.
And they need to be aware that their marketing plan is not working. Market wisely and use...
I finished the Demo and was less then impressed. I was interested in the title until the Demo got into my hands. As it is now I doubt I will purchase the game... if it hits bargain bin then I might think about it.
Right now I am waiting for the Dragons's Dogma Demo to come out to see where that is going to be placed in my next game to purchase list?
No you won't... stop lieing to yourself.
I beg to differ. Halo:Reach was one of my favorite prequels. The trick is not to make main character line from today's characters. Need to add a main character that we know nothing about but in a way that still ties the story together and gives us a feel of the complete story.
I actually am still looking on a spin off of Jack in her own ME story. DLC would be ok for that... but a massive story with her meeting up with new characters that she would need to team up with. An...
Is Borderlands not open enough? Though it has some transitioning between some areas it is large enough and entertaining enough to be on my list. Needing to use a vehicle to really travel from area to area.
And if that was the case then attach rate of games is blowing PS3 out of the water. Which is it?
Is there a bunch of consoles being re-bought and with less actual consoles on the market thus the attach rate is higher or is MS actually selling consoles and the attach rate is thus more equal with PS3?
Can't have it both ways. Or can you?
Often times companies will reassess their forecast later in the FY. Sometimes increasing, sometimes decreasing sales based on what current market is doing. Only logical to change your forecast when new figures come in.
@inveni0
Likely that the loss is not directly associated with PS3 as many other Sony products are falling on hard times.
But your assumption that cost is directly related to how much it costs to make a product is faulty. As many other factors go into the product... not just production costs. You have overhead, marketing, distribution, etc. that goes into making of the PS3.
More often then not the company does not rely as much on making profi...
Alcatraz would be a nice TDM level to play. And could open up the outside area to do more of a CQ or Rush game. I liked the dark areas that it had in Rainbow 6 game.
NY has been played out... would like to see other memorable places like maybe Washington D.C. someplace near the National Mall?
Or Even the Redwood National Park? Love to see one of those big trees get blown down.
We know Hollywood has been played out too... but to see some Hol...
I would love to see a Smithsonian Museum Map. The place is HUGE and you could finally get your Dinosaurs in the game!!! And would love to blow up that big Blue Whale while a sniper is trying to use it as a high vantage point.
I am assuming that you have never purchased a single MS point and are only throwing out conjecture on the subject.
So you are saying that because a price increase may happen in the future that it somehow eludes to MS resetting their currency rate? (as bozebo posted about MS picking and choosing exchange rates)
I guess Walmart and all the other businesses out there are fixing their own exchange rates when they are adjusting prices too?
And ...
That is like saying that you don't need to read someones review of a game because you read others from someone else already.
Next time if you don't bother to read then don't bother to reply to something you know nothing about.
Wrong. Points are set regardless of the exchange rate. They don't fluctuate against any currency. 80points will always cost me $1. Regardless of the market.
And people ask why they don't do a 100 points equals $1 thing to make it easier. Does that make it any easier for those that don't use dollars?
The only people that even worry about exchange rates are those that don't have point cards for sale in their currency. And even then it has noth...
Possible... but from the example you gave the bookshelf issue itself could have been that "long term play optimisations" as it was not specified what type or correlation the long term play was in the game. (it was a generalization) And it does not suggest multiple issues with that specific line you quoted.
Obviously the bookshelf script issue was eluding to a long time play script issue. And looks to be more specific on the issue versus what you quoted from the for...
It would seem from the statement they made ..."Optimized bookshelf script in player-owned houses that would occasionally cause active scripts to lag and also cause an increase to saved games filesize (PS3)" that a simple way to possibly avoid the lag is to not use the private house option in the game until you get the patch maybe? Or maybe not put anything into the bookshelves? (not sure if it would solve anything but hey... worth trying)
Lame article. Just this statement alone proves his fallacy in thought, "The Laserdisc, VHS, DVD, CRT Monitors. Everything eventually gets replaced.".
Note his example is format versus the material itself which would be movies and/or ways to view them. With this in mind gaming will not need to follow the trend of VHS (and DVDs are FAR from gone and still the vast majority of the market place) and gaming will continue to live on regardless of if it will be on PC, Con...
Same can be said about those that shamelessly support an agenda due to it being their console of choice.
