I got kicked from BF3 and then it said I needed to update my system. Took forever and kept getting the message to check xbox.com for some status error. After about 3 shutdowns it finally worked and updated. During the time it kept saying that I might have issues logging into Xbox LIVE. Yep... sure had issues. But it is working now... and I have never been impressed by any updates really. I could care less how my dashboard looks fancy or not. As long as i can find what I want. Now STOP changin...

I am wondering why they lost all the news channels I liked to watch each day? All they have now is the fake news from the crappy Today show.
Some people keep hearing night vision part and think it has to be used at night. And have watched too many movies like Silence of the Lambs and think it is the same type of setup.
IRNV is closer to FLIR then night vision goggles. Having multiple capabilities of not just infra red and night vision but also allows for thermal identification in conjunction. Similar to many high end cameras that are available on the market today.

Exactly the opposite of what you would expect. If the enemy is in the dark then you can't see them. If they are in the light then you get that slight glow now.
They said they were going to just reduce the distance on it so that it wouldn't shine the people farther away. But in these shots it looks like they nerfed it to the point where you can't even spot MAVs and/or mines.

Have you tried to develop for Sony yet. You won't even get in the door. You can't even get a development kit without paying an arm and a leg. XNA is free and doesn't have a better group of people supplying you with free tools and advice while you are creating your project.
Sony deals with the 1% while MS gives their chance to all developers. (regardless of resources)
It cost $2000 for a development kit just to star...
For the independent developer creating a game new for PS3 the time alone factors at a minimum 3 times that of making a game for the a system they are already familiar with. (which is the scenario in this case)
Obviously time and expenses will be reduced as familiarity with architecture is gained but it will not be able to meet, in this generation, the same level of the native architecture they are used to.
Try making a game for PS3 or for any system for that ...

All games worth looking forward to... but again you see the theme of your list as being... already did that, played that same old rehash of the same franchises. Where are the new ips? Something to get us really excited. That is more of what is trying to be asked here. More of the same is just status quo and not the inventive new Ip that we are needing to allow our imagination to venture out into another direction.
We will be far from bored... but we do see that we are really...
And everyone here is basically making the relevant point with titles that bring "With next year’s release schedule dominated by familiar faces and severely lacking in exciting new IPs." a truer statement. Where are the exciting NEW IPs to look forward to? Stop throwing out games that have titles that we could have seen years ago. Halo, Jax & Daxter, Sly Cooper, FF(place a roman numeral here), Counter Strike,,, where do these fall into the NEW IPs needed???

Answering questions is always good. But the point here is that trading development costs for production of a product that will be identical on another platform that does an equally good job of answering questions does not present a favorable production platform.

The only thing holding back PS3 wasn't as much the price as it was the upper management who decided they could rape the consumer and then spout out verbiage that people didn't wan't cheap and would basically need to sale personal valuables to buy their product.
Basically the Japanese way of thinking that if it is expensive then people will want it more. A marketing plan that fails outside of Japan.

Makes you wonder why they haven't caught up yet then? Every year... (Since PS3 came out) they have said that PS3 will cap the total sales of Xbox 360 in the coming year. And yet once again we are going into another year. 2012 will finally be the year that PS3 overcomes the Xbox 360 lead and take them over! (Or 2013 if that doesn't pan out)

As most know there was a service alert that stated people would be having issues getting onto LIVE during this update. As was what happened to the majority of people. Myself included.
Had to reset my Xbox a few times and do a couple of test internet connection but all worked out in the long run.
I am looking forward to the media area getting updated but wondering how much of that I will have access to? I got the Today news but am wanting back the other news...
