You completely miss the point. Yes Crysis may have looked better, but the reason this is so impressive is becuase so many developers will be able to very easily create such good looking games themeselves using this engine. The CryEngine is most likely indefinately more complex and would take a lot of work to look this good.

Yeah but this isnt an old game redone in HD, this is a brand spanking new game, and thats what the reviewer was refereing to. There is nothing wrong with old tech if its an old game, but when a brand new game comes out with said tech, its considered a major drawback.
That said, I am actually enjoying the game, despite its many, many flaws.

People dont play sport games becuase they dont want to get physical, they play them for the fun and many hours you get from them. The average player gets far, far more hours out of a sport game than practically anything else.

Completely agree. However, I really wish that there was no quick travel like Oblivion and Fallout both had. I think making people have to walk thier way to a city to catch a transport was a brilliant way to getting people to actually explore and find things otherwise left untouched and unfound. But I suppose its the players loss if they choose to fast-travle everywhere they go.
