He's into consoles so he can make games on them? What's this "reap millions of dollars," talk? His games sell because, guess what, there AAA. Look up Shadow Complex, look up Gears. Gears basically set a standard gameplay wise this gen for TPS. Fluid gameplay, stop and pop shooting.
He uses PC to sell the Unreal Engine, but isn't that the point of the engine? Multiplatform engine? It allows developers to develop games like Mass Effect, Bioshock, etc. on m...
Umm, how is Gears trying to appeal to the CoD crowd?
The campaign in Gears 3 was good. It had great set pieces, characters, better story line (I loved that level where cole had a flashback to his football days), and solid gameplay.
The multiplayer had dedicated servers, constant support, bots, and the game was balanced. The only thing that you could argue wasn't balanced was the sawed off, and MAYBE the digger (the game focuses on cover, but the digger r...
Your comparing one company which is owned by EA, to a company that made a deal with EA to publish the game. Big difference.
So every time a developer states something are you just going to ignore him and believe what you want? "But but this developer lied so that one must be lieing too"
Sony has tried many times to buy Insomniac, and they've declined multiple times. I expect nothing less if EA offers to buy. Ted Price has stated Insomniac likes to be independent.
Most people (as well as myself) are against the flood returning for a few reasons:
1.) There boring to fight against. Really not interesting at all. There just mindless enemies that charge.
2.) The levels involving the flood are the worst. I felt the Arbiter Missions in Halo 2 were ruined by inclusion of the flood. And people hated Cortana (the level) with a passion.
Reach had some pretty terrible maps.
Halo 1 had decent maps.
Halo 2 had an AMAZING set of maps. Lockout, Midship, Turf, Coagulation, Relic, Gemini, etc.
Halo 3 had a decent set of maps. Pit, Guardian, Valhalla, Construct etc.
Reach however, had a terrible initial set of maps. I enjoyed Zealot and Countdown but maps like Swordbase, Boardwalk, and Boneyard were just meh. There's a reason so many maps in matchmaking are Forg...
Well it's a good thing Skyrim has both scale and quality. Yes, it has some bugs. I've played the 360 version, I've put over 50 hours into the game and it's froze on me about 3-4 times & had some major frame rate problems on one mission.
But besides those some negatives? I've had only a positive expierence. The game has a great intro, and some very memorable quest. Skyrim feels alive. Walking through the forest you see wildlife, there's fish swimmin...
Let me know when Nintendo makes a game on the scale of Skyrim.
Majora's Mask was pretty good with the living breathing world, but Skyrim takes it to the next level.
Skyrim does a lot of things well. Huge world, very open-ended, choices. Sometimes I just like to roam the country side, hunt some deer. Other times I'll be walking, and a ghost on a horse races past me.
Is she on the Infinity? I know she's currently with the UNSC as of Glasslands, but I didn't know she was on the vessel?
First off, I don't have the game for PS3. I have it for 360. The bug that affected PS3 users did not affect me at all, but it's amazing how people will blame Sony. Sony didn't develop the game. Bethesda did. If they had a problem with getting there engine to work they should have quit or tried harder.
Secondly, this "bug" affected a large number of users. It's not some small shit, after a certain number of hours your game basically becomes unplayable...
Your right, the PS3 architecture does make it hard for games like Skyrim, an open-world game that is very dynamic compared to GTA/inFAMOUS/etc.
However, Bethesda should NOT have shipped the PS3 version when, after a certain point, the game basically stopped working. First they made PS3 users wait for months for a patch that makes the game WORK, and now they can't even play DLC.
Fable, Minecraft, Forza, Skyrim (which also outsold the PS3 version) have all sold more than 3 million, and are among the best selling Xbox 360 games.
"But but tehy only have Halo and Gearz :,(!"
Yea, as well as a ton of other multiplat/exclusive games. Left 4 Dead, Witcher 2, Trials Evolution, etc. PS3 and Wii may have more exclusives, and some great games, but I don't get where all this "Xbox has no games" or "Xbox players only ...
Your opinion is wrong. CoD and Halo are very popular games, what does that have to do with anything? Some other popular games on Xbox: Skyrim, Minecraft, GTA, FIFA, Forza, Red Dead. (All according to most played XBL games)
CoD is also extreamly popular on PS3.
It's multiplatform. The whole point of the Fox Engine was to create a multiplatform engine. Even the community manager of the PS Blog stated the game will on other systems as well.
343i won't be creating any new IP's. The studio was formed and founded on one premise, Halo. They control the development of new Halo's, and any new Books, Filmes, Comics, etc. on Halo they oversee the production of. For instance, the Forward Unto Dawn Web Series coming out this year was overseen by them.
The engine may be scalable like Frostbite 2. We really don't have much information on the engine.
Hip-Pop?
What system are you playing on? I generally play on 360, and I have no time finding an official server. Also, if you need to find a rented server try searching "normal" "classic" or "vanilla".
It's really annoying that we have to do this. DICE should make finding a "normal" BF3 match without any BS easier, but hopefully these tips work out for you.
Glitches. Tons of fucking glitches. One one level as Templer I had to kill a group of enemies to pass the level, and an enemey fell through the ground. So I had to restart the whole mission over.
