I gotta say, I enjoyed Saints Row The Third far more than GTA IV. Yes, GTA IV was more polished, but Saints Row is just more fun. The gun play is far more fluid, driving cars is more fun, the world is crazier. The missions in Saints are just fucking crazy. Zombie Invasion, Gun Fights in the Sky, using Jets and blowing shit up, etc.
I'm sure GTA V will get better reviews, more sales, etc. but I'll probably end up enjoying Saints IV more.
Whats sad is the DMC4 actually sold quite well. On PS3 and 360, the total was over 2.5 million.
Since then, the install base of both consoles have significantly increased. With DMC5, they would've had an engine already, assets, gameplay, etc. so development cost and time would've been lowered compared to the DMC reboot.
It's a shame Capcom just didn't develop DMC5.
All the gears games were nothing special? Please. There some of the highest rated games this gen. Not only that, Gears 1 basically made TPS popular again on consoles, and its cover mechanics were a step up from previous games like Kill.Switch.
As for Saints Row. I love the franchise. Saints 3 was straight awesome. I LOVED the over the top action. Oh, an airplane is coming right at you? Shoot the windows, fly through it while shooting the fuck out of everyone, and jump out the...
Yea dude. I'm sure your PS3 is special and thats why other PS3 owners have tearing Far Cry but you don't.
Oh whats that? Digital Foundry has a video showing tearing of Far Cry, and a full technical rounddown? But onandonandon told me it doesn't have tearing :/. Looking at his post history, he seems like a complete fanboy... and he seems like a child calling people stupid...
But whatever helps you sleep at night man, Keep wearing those fanboy gog...
No offense, but I would trust Digital Foundry over you. There experts and have the proper equipment to show and record things like this.
Maybe you just don't notice it? I never notice tearing in video games.
Rare made many games over the years. Grabbed by Ghoulies, Conker Reloaded, PDZ, Kameo, etc. They didn't sell as well or were acclaimed as well as Microsoft would like. So Microsoft put them to work on Kinect games, which sold better than any of there previous games. As a business, Microsoft wants to make money. And that seems logical to me. Its a shame we won't see these franchises, maybe next gen :/?
Rare made creative games. Grabbed by Ghoullies, Kameo, PDZ, Viva Pinata, and Nuts and Bolts. The thing was, the games didn't sell that well, nor were they AAA. Kameo has 79 on metacritic, PDZ has 81. And Microsoft let Rare do there thing, they didn't interfere. Rare fucked up, Microsoft has some part of the blame, but it's not like Rare wasn't given chances. They were given many chances.
Now, even if there games are not that great, they still sell well. And th...
Except Halo was one of the best selling games on the consoles last gen. And considering Xbox has a FIFTH of the marketshare PS2 had... yea. Obviously, if Uncharted was on PS2 which has sold more than PS3, it would have sold a bit more.
If Reach is your favorite Halo idk what to say.
Tell that to the majority of players that disliked Reach. And the players that still believe Halo 2 or Halo CE had the best multi.
I'm honestly conflicted. New DMC doesn't look bad, but if I buy it does that mean we'll never see DMC5? Or is it if I don't buy it Capcom will kill the franchise.
I wish Capcom would have spun this off into it's own franchise, and made a proper sequel to DMC4. Or at least ended the series properly before rebooting it.
It's not the Huge things but the small things*
No some of the nitpicks are good points. Its the huge things but the small things that matter. If 343i takes notice and updates it/or Halo 5, it can really improve the game.
Halo is 50% Campaign and 50% Multiplayer. Tons of care and effort go into both.
Copy and Pasted from what I wrote earlier:
It's not about the score, it's about the text. The reviewer basically wants the game to go from Halo to Call of Duty. He wants more scripted events, less "open spaces" because its pointless, and he wants ADS.
And thats not Halo. Halo is one of the few games left that are similar to Quake and other Arcade Arena shooters.
You would think with more and more games trying to replicate Call...

A Perfect Dark game similar to Deus Ex would be so cool.
He means on PC. And boy, if you can max it out it will look spectacular:

As for consoles, TLOU will prob. be the best looking game. But other games like Gears, God of War, Bioshock, etc. won't be that far behind. Take your fanboy goggles off.
Can't do it O Conner. Heroic on my first go, it's Halo Tradition.
Wow. How the hell did you get 20 disagrees? I think most of the posters on this site are fanboys. They don't realize that without one of the Big 3, gaming would be worse.
Without Nintendo, there might not even be video games today. And they're constantly pushing innovation in the industry. The analog stick? Yep, that was them. They make amazing first party games, which leads to Sony and MS making better games.
Without Sony, we might still be using car...
