Why do I like it? Well...
Lets start with the gorgeous vistas. Oh man, the draw distance, skybox, the game is just beautiful? Is it the best looking game on its respective consoles? No. Does it run at 60 FPS? No. But it does have a great art style and vision. And it just looks good.

Killzone, Little Big Planet, Tearaway, Persona 4, and probably a few others could be seen as AAA.
Shouldn't Microsoft listen to the money?
People should vote with their wallets. Obviously, people like Halo, and they enjoy the video games. It's in the top 10 most played Xbox Live Games & it sells extremely well.
So why should Microsoft stop? People enjoy the franchise. If you don't, just don't play the games.
More Players =/= Better Game.

Game Changer? Lol. The big hype around this game was because of the following reasons:
*Made by the creative team (members & founders of InfinityWard, now Respawn Studios) behind Call of Duty
*The focus on player movement....
New franchises.
The past few years Microsoft has been forming more studios. As well as past games like Crackdown & Fable, expect new games like Black Tusk's new shooter, and Microsoft Osaka's new game.
You may buy a PS3 today, but if you like the great games (Last of Us, Uncharted, inFAMOUS, etc.) and the service (Playstation Plus) your going to eventually buy a PS4.
And that's fine. Right now Sony makes a profit on every PS3 sold.
In the end, there still selling consoles, making money, and gaining customers.
And that is the direct opposite of "shooting themselves in the foot."
PS4 will sell well, better than...
Power isn't everything. Look at Wii last-gen, PS2 before that.
What Microsoft needs to worry about is the messaging and more first party games.
I was hoping for new PS Vita bundle or deal... Killzone at $19.99 ain't bad though, think I'll get that.
Geez, I would really like a VITA but it seems like EU gets all the cool deals.
They get the Vita Mega Pack while NA gets the Walking Dead Bundle.
They get these memory card bundles.
AND to top it off there PS Plus shits on NA. This month they got Jak & Daxter for Vita, NA got GTA PSP.
I have a 3DS XL right now, probably gonna get a Vita this holiday. Hopefully puts out a bundle and brings some good games the next few years. These console wars a lot you do are pointless.

A lot of engines aren't built from ground up. A lot of time, building it up from ground up while you have a perfectly viable engine is a waste of time. New engines take a lot of time and money, and sometimes can result on more issues.

They actually fixed most of the issues through patch updates, but yea, damage was done.
Gears 3 probably had the best multiplayer out of the series though.

I disagree. I think each gen has had some amazing designs, some so-so, and some terrible ones.
Look at Gen 1 - Blastoise, Charizard, Arcanine, Dragonite. But also things like Muk, Voltorb, Magnemite, exeggcute, Krabby.
Lets talk Gen 5 - Haxorus, Serperior, Samurott, Krookodle, Liepard, etc.
