Uh, no. Bungie.net gave stats for Halo 2. That was in 2004. It was around before myhawk.
I'm sure some PC games have had stat tracking as well, but Bungie was the first company on consoles to go really in depth with online services.
Bungie has created very interesting games, with great universes. Read up on Marathon or Myth. Oni was also a great game. What ever Bungie's next game, you can bet they will have a very strong universe and story, like all their previous games.
Not only that, but they've completely changed the way we play online game on consoles. Bungie.net is basically what Call of Duty Elite, Battlelog, etc. is basically Bungie.net. Bungie perfected matchmaking. They added Theater mo...
Halo, Marathon, Myth. Hell, even Oni was a good game that could've used some more polish, I doubt you've played any of their games besides Halo though.
As for 343i, it has a few members from Bungie, not a majority. They do have a lot of talent though, developers from Kojima Producitons, Gearbox, etc.
Because Call of Duty fans will be like, "OMG Todd Howard Game Director for Skyrim said Call of Duty is Hardcore! Now we have to buy Skyrim!!11111"

You know, people said the same thing before Black Ops came out, and guess what? Black Ops sold more than any CoD before it. More than Modern Warfare, World at War, MW2, etc.
Also, real time destruction is NOT needed. That depends on the TYPE of game. In games like Battlefield, it is a good addition do to the nature of the multiplayer. The maps are larger, and combat is on a larger scale.
CoD is similar to a fast paced arcade shooter. There is no point in dest...
Old good Capcom? The one that released 20 versions of Street Fighter II? There still around.
Have you played Red Faction: Guerilla? The destruction in that game is really impressive. There is no environmental damage (blow holes in ground, etc.) but every building, bridge, etc. can be taken apart. Youtube it.
The cells barely made a difference.
The PS3 was hyped to be insanely powerful. Dual 1080p at 60 FPS, 4D, etc.
Instead, graphically, games look just as good on both consoles. Crysis 2 for example, it looks just as good as Killzone, the beta for Gears 3 looked as good a Uncharted, Rage looks excellent everywhere, etc.
Can't you just use a USB stick to transfer saves?
Gears never had AA...? Did the first two? I thought Unreal Engine (on consoles) couldn't support AA?
What's funny is that 360 has games that look just as well as the PS3, but PS3 fanboys think Uncharted and Killzone look better than everything else.
What's funny is that Gears throws tons of enemies at the player, play Horde mode and you'll see ton of AI on screen with 3 other players.
What's funny is that Uncharted looks meh in multiplayer, yet fanboys think "it's the best looking game!"
What's funny is that...
Wort Wort Wort.
343i is a studio dedicated to Halo. Listen to their interviews, they are extreamly passionate about Halo. Every book, film, comic, etc. on Halo has to get THIER permission and approval to make.
Not only that, but they have tons of talent. People from Bungie, Gearbox, Bioware, Pandemic, Kojima Productions, etc. are all there. Ryan Paton, Corrine Yu, Franky, etc.
343i is anything BUT a garbage dev. They have tons of resources ($$$), great developers, and a pas...
Oh ok, I mixed up Jetforce and Jetpack.
Did you even read the article? Unreal Engine is the best engine, for developers wishing to make multiplatform games to use. It's very scalable, it works on PC, 360, PS3, Wii U, PSP Vita, iOS, etc.
Isn't Jetforce Gemini on the XBLA?
Crimson Skies, Mech Assualt, Ninja Gaiden (Though I suppose Sigma IS the HD remake), Steel Battalion, Project Gotham Racing, Halo 2, Dead or Alive, Panzer Dragoon, Jet Set Radio Future (though I think these were on Dreamcast?).
Then you also have games that were also PC and 360 exclusive that deserve remakes: Oddworld Games, KOTOR, Republic Commando (would love to see a sequel), etc.
@mynameisevil
1.) Hmm, okay. I guess I should pay more attention to the games. I remember it was real bad in Gears 1, 2 and Mass Effect, other UE3 games not so much.
2.) UE3 is a very easy to use engine. It is easy to develop for multiple consoles. Developing your own engine takes years, and millions of dollars. By using UE3, developers can release faster games, on more consoles.
1.) Damn Texture Loading.
- I haven't had the change to play Bulletstorm yet, but the only games I saw this in were Mass Effect on 360, and Gears of War 1 & 2.
In games like ME2, Arkham Asylum, and Bioshock, I never saw texture loading. Same in the Gears 3 beta, not texture loading.
2.) So Overused:
- Why's this matter? Some games look very different. Compare Bioshock to Mass Effect, the two look completely different.
He's saying he hopes Tekken X SF comes to Vita, like SF X Tekken is.
