Do work staff preorder from their own stores or do stores disallow that so they can keep customer stock? Does it depend on sales forecast? Like "EMAIL: Store will allocate 20 units for staff purchase. FCFS only."
I have a vision of a staff worker lovingly hugs his preordered XboxOne/PS4 every night before he ends his shift... :P
I don't hate it but as the TV/Sports feature is too US-centric for the gamers or the services in my part of the world. PC gaming is king here, so many of us are used to high-performance and high-resolution.
In the Xbox One reveal, we was worried that these extra features that won't not work here, would compromise the tech. and OS performance for games. Now we see that it does, even though not by very much.
I don't know who in my circles who is ge...
Please let it be a Deep Down or an Order 1886 announcement... (>.<)
I hope when they got PS4 online after the countdown end, it won't be a live TV show of many, many console stuck in a Day 1 Update congestion.
Just keeping it real yo, folks :P (my PS4 comes in 2014)
Ooo, I've heard about this one. If you have PS Eye, they snap a picture of your face at the most intense moments of the game.

... Giddity :D
Puuu, yeah the mark up price and R1 launch games prices are a turn off. Some say Amazon pre-order from US can be cheaper, but don't MY have a hefty tax on electronic devices shipped from overseas? In addition, PS4 from US to here might probably comes with international warranty instead of full warranty.
With a Dec (Christmas) release, I wouldn't recommend. flying to KL in January unless you've reserved with someplace quickly, based on the insane feedback. I planne...
Really? SEAsia gets Vita-TV in mid-January? PSYCH! :D
I really, really want a PS Vita TV but I only have 1 HDMI TV in my house (PS4 spot reserved!). Gonna take a look at my old PC monitor, heh...
I'm not getting a PS4 at launch, as much as I want Knack game (and Vita co-op). I'll probably wait for Order 1886 or a price drop with 1TB HD, whichever comes first.
I know at least 2 Sony Centres in Klang Valley, that's either Plaza Low ...
The PS4 overheating issue was probably more toward ventilation conditions and improper storage but you can believe it's the console design's fault if it suits your agenda.
That's probably as solid as the endless connection looping and restarting on X1 start up UI was also due to OS's flaw instead of the demo event's networking issues.
I hope they'll announce the release date for the PS Vita TV as well. Japan gets them on Nov 14, and being the joint offices of SCEJA, we're looking forward to trying out the home wifi network between PSVTV-PS4 before anyone else in the world.
I wonder if Nate Silver would come do an analysis on the PS4-XboxOne overall sales...
I like the look of the X1 UI, I really do. It didn't wow me, but folks who are looking forward to it, I believe, would be impressed. I'm also concerned if you can turn off/pause the Kinect while playing Titanfall with voice chat. It could be confusing if everybody on their mics would shout Xbox commands all at once.

Unfortunately, the click-drag-drop part of the DS4 touchpad isn't available for the current PC-compatibility. I use controller for Steam and if DS4 has PC-touchpad capability, it'll be so much better. Maybe in an update driver?
On another note, a lot PC-based indie games utilized the mouse-action, like the casual hidden objects games. Touchpad on the DS4 would be a great support.
I'm going to Japan this Dec for a university exchange program. I signed up the trip in September, after PS4 release dates for NA and EU came out. I was pinning hopes that Japan gets Nov/Dec 2013 release date as well, so I can watch PS4 in the wild on its native habitat :)
Didn't went as expected. PS4 for Japan is coming out in 2014 and lo behold, my region gets PS4 in Dec. While I'm gone.
I planned to go to Japan for a PS4 expedition, only to find...
Out of the 5, the live-streaming and video sharing is my biggest concern. The one example of video sharing I've seen was during the TGS 2013 and got interrupted due to conflicting signals in the area (during live TV too!). The Gaikai is my second biggest concern, possibly due the Vita TV plays PS1, maybe PS2 games. Multiplayer is not so much, because Sony games have been quite proficient to a variety of single-player/all-genres types.
The TV-Sports functionality doesn't work with any of the cable TVs in my region of Asia. But the Skype camera Snap part would be very appealing for many soccer-football fans here, but I'm not sure if we have a large following of football-fans/gamers who are inclined to share living room privacy AND can afford the USD console price + tax :/
It's a common setup for all software systems. A product goes into the assembly line, but the Development and QA team don't stop upgrading and fixing any bugs they might find. A patch is an add-on once a customer activates it. Like Blizzard's Starcraft 2 and Rockstar's GTA Online. It's pretty standard.
Sony has opened a PS hub and office in Singapore back in April 2013. They've combined Japan and South East Asia into one demographic. PC has always been dominant here because console games company tend to overlook our potential. Until now.
Xenophobic fanboys maybe. There's no harm in buying the console you like better, only why must hate the competition so much? Competition is good for consumer.
*ducks in bunker*
Che-waaah, I wish was kiasu enough to import US too. Then I'll have to buy one bundled with launch game, unless some enterprising Malaysian games store is selling PS4 games without the PS4 coming here yet :P
@JokesOnYou
The story you've linked showcases Windows Azure as itself a system. I have no doubt that it's a great cloud computing system and will look forward to seeing Titanfall and Forza games in action.
But MS is definitely not going to limit Azure entirely for Xbox games; there's plenty of other potential areas Azure could expand, like SharePoint or network storage, data migration maybe? and etc.
We're wondering if the Xbo...
