Well, he's the PS4 architect. Many parents are overly bias and protective of their baby, so close to being released. When it comes to describing their own consoles, I always take his and Major Nelson's opinions with a pinch of salt and "Gambateh!" :3
@Abriael
Maybe 'bias' was the wrong word, oops. So Cerny pointed out a common preconception for the X1 and add it to PS4's advantage. If folks are twitching about what he said, I think it say...
It didn't specify, but the invitee is based in Dubai. Maybe that's the one, Dubai is very a popular transit stop.
This is so cool, I hope Sony does a lot games with PSEye-PSApp interaction with augmented reality.
Dear Sony, you've opened a brand new office in Singapore and had also set a console release date for December. If you do a PS4 launch party there, I will swim to you if needed, coming in with bells on :D
Old build, of course. Must be the craziest crunch time to be an X1 developer right now. :3
You know, not to be mean or sound fanboyistic, but if Moonlightswami kept his twitter under NDA about COD (even though it's only verbal agreement), gaming community wouldn't have had to go through all that fluster.
So how exactly was he unable to play offline COD on the X1?
Is it a new function of the XBL ban?
Is it the game itself? Infinity Ward needed online Cloudz power or something?
Is it the X1 patch? Maybe still incomplete and being tested?
EDIT:
I could be wrong but I'm very skeptical that the X1 original DRM policies are at work here, what we could have seen in action if their DRM has still be in place. Microsoft would have seen how m...
I think it's the MS Day One patch that's an issue. We still have under 2 weeks to launch, possibly the patch wasn't ready yet. This is why MS needs to block XBL for the X1 early receivers.
... which means MoonlightSwami fellow might need to download another patch? I hope this won't be too big a problem :/
EDIT: Oh, my bad. Developers with kits and MS testers at home should probably already be able to play offline. Or maybe they got their X1 wi...
Soooo cute/creepy :D. Will definitely pick this up, just under 2 weeks after launch!
Their Comment sections are really helpful. Two of my fav Q&A here, in case you guys got curious:
-How many Vita’s can connect with Remote Play?
"I hear you can only connect one Vita at a time for Remote Play."
-If playing at home with less than four (4) players is there an AI for the unused characters, or can we swap to them?

@unity
Please sir, I'm not trying to be anyone's fanboy. I'm buying a PS4, not looking for X1 (a lot of those features/content are not supported in my region).
I don't hate the X1 or anybody who is solely buying just an X1. I did like his enthusiasm, a bit overzealous, I think. He must have thought he won a lottery or something, when the green box came. If his tweets somewhat contradicted MS PR or highlighted something unannounced, I believe he didn...
He didn't say anything bad about it or being ridiculously overexcited. I liked his tweets, very open and AMA-like. His stuff was informative enough for Dualshockers to put together a list. I think this should put a lot of XB1 OS fears to rest.
I hope the ban is a temp; his main fault was that he divulged info which MS was saving to wow audiences on Nov. 22.
The first Xbox One ban... 2 weeks before release.
Give that man an Achievement. :3
Whaaaaat~...? :(
Ban hammer, as in, XBL ban? For real? He was good, more informative than most Xbox PR did.
I suppose the live Twitter reporting might have done it, but really, Target delivered X1 console early to many others too. Maybe they're all banned only until November 22nd?
I live in Malaysia. In addition to the usual HBO, CNN, Disney, etc, our own localized cable TV has many channels specific to our region, which aren't compatible with Xbox One.
Skype is cool, for those who use them ( I do, only at work). If X1 have Fantasy Soccer support, it might be a hit... if fantasy sport was even a thing here. I don't know what HuluPlus is and very few idea what is a Netflix, but that's only me.
Myself and many X1 hopefuls in ...
Wow, dang. I wished my country supported at least 1/2 of those features :(
PS4 in December 2013.
PS Vita TV in January 2014.
Oh gwad, at least one next-gen console hadn't forgotten us Asians this time... :D
HK, SG and a few other Asian countries are as primarily seen as PC gaming countries. Yeah, most gamers here are used to expect best performance and resolution on our gaming devices.
Even if a console maybe won't be as top-notch as an upgradable PC, there's a lot of things a console does that's diff...
PC gaming is big in Korea and most of Asia not because players prefer to play on PC, it is mostly because the best valued device for gaming is the PC.
I asked a marketing consultant on Sony strategy for PC gaming dominant countries. He laughs and puts it in a story, which I had to agree...
An Xbox salesman and a Playstation salesman flew to East and South Asia to study the potential sale for next-gen console. They both noted that hardly anyone plays console, ...
The latest Vita upgrade now has a PS4 App. This App you will use for PS4 remote play or couch co-op for every PS4 game that supports it. So there's no need to buy or download any thing extra on the Vita; the PS4 App will launch Knack co-op with your PS4 console.
I believe you can only run one PS4 game remote-play/co-op at one time, so there's no like switching from Knack to Killzone and then to Watch_Dogs on your Vita.
I'm trying to search if I h...
I love the 'break the 4th wall' thing the gameplay is about. Yeah, the launch timing doesn't look as appealing, but we'll see ;) The game has best uses of the Vita ever seen.
Whenever the console launch day comes up, I feel like a spiderman meme :P
Everyone's excited for X1 on Nov. 22... while I'm sitting here waiting for PSVita Tearaway release.
@nukeitall
Windows Azure is pretty good, even a little bit of it on SharePoint 2013 which I use at work everyday (it does have it downtime hours, of course). But as SharePoint uses only a portion of Azure's power, I don't think XBLC would have the whole of Azure's NASA program capability just for games industry. MS would probably allocate most of Azure on more profitable fields, like data securities or network-to-OS infrastructures.
To see XBLC g...
I've been a PC player for a long time and I got two nephews, ages 8 and 6, both promising gamers (Ass.Creed and Minecraft). We're venturing into console gaming together, Knack was the game that sold me, like a cute family game.
