they've been making better looking games than anything shown for ps4 on pc for years, (and most of those ps4 showings were pre rendered trailers...target renders) and now ps4 has very similar architechture to pc, should be less even, with a greater audience to market to

cpu and gpu are VASTLY more important than ram, many games only use 2gb ram, 4gb at most
also, cores of cpu are greatly underutilized, many games run on a single core, some on 2 and very, very few utilize quad cores
the ram is great on the ps4, everything else is mid spec at very best
it would not be hard for ms to beat sonys specs at all
a weak, laptop cpu at 1.6gz (8 cores of snores)
an old, mid spec gpu
and 8gb ram
my 2 year old laptop has better parts
ms need a fast quad core
a gtx 660ti
8gb ram and it will crush ps4
will they do it, probably not, they'll go the same, 2 year old, mid spec parts
more like $499 for the basic model and $599 for the larger hd and second controller model
a single gtx 680 has more processing power than the entire ps4
that said, the ps4 will still produce amazing visuals, certainly better than the sub-hd, jaggie riddles, 20 frame per second games currently on ps3/360
but i am 100% sure the ps4 will NOT be able to produce visuals like this;

cause the deep down "gameplay" was fake, it was NOT real gameplay, and the witcher 2, uber sampling in 1600p, destroys it already, even the fake "gameplay" did not look as good as the witcher 2.
if you really think a weak 8 core 1.6ghz cpu and a mid range, two year old graphics card are going to produce gameplay visuals like the deep down capcom CGI TRAILER, lol...sorry

why, thats stupid, diablo 3 is a great game, my wife and i had an absolute blast playing through the game together, i think we spent over 40 hours, collecting mad loot, regrinding cool bosses
i want everyone to get to play it

gaikai and all other steaming services are terrible, the lag/latency introduced is very, very bad
what is going to happen, just like last gen, is the big games like killzone 2 and 3, uncharted 2 and 3, gor of war 3 and ascension, lpb etc...etc....will get ps4 hd remasters, they will be in 1080p and have proper anti aliasing and look amazing and maybe even feature some upgraded textures....these will sell for $39.99 at launch, but soon there will bundles for that price, the uncha...
or its just the only thing that wasn't pre rendered besides the killzone demo which had lots of cool effects, but still jaggies and wierd textures here and there
looks very, very cool!
the only thing that bothers me slightly is that there are still jaggies on quite a few surfaces (watch in full screen and you will see lots of artifacting and jaggies on stroight lines)
obviously this is a very early build, i hope all games employ at least 4x msaa
we are going to get little tastes of upcoming ps4 games over the next few months and e3 is going to be an eyegasm this year!
i'm a pretty hard core pc gamer, my i-7 2600k, gtx 680 and 12gb ddr3 make me quite happy, and while i do not think the ps4 will beat my rig pound for pound in a graphics slugmatch, i do think, with the specs announced that it will produce some AMAZING visuals!
i am quite happy with the revealed specs of the ps4 and cannot wait to sink my eyes into the glorious worlds that sonys excellent first party devs dream up for me
what i really want to know next is; <...
the witcher 2 looks simply amazing on a high powered pc, i do not think, with the spec of the ps4, it would be able to handle the witcher 2 with all settings maxed in 1080p, 720p yes, perhaps, with anti alaising turned down and no ubersamples
still, a console for $500 that can max the witcher 2 in 720p at 30 frames is a pretty good deal
i did not see anything from todays news of the ps4 that looked better than the witcher 2 on pc;

if thats the case, i'll just continue to play my ps3 games on my ps3, until i can play them on my pc in native 1080p, 1600p like i do with all my ps2 games!
no intrested personally, just as netflix movies look like crap compared to a bluray, gaikai gaming will look like crap, have lag, and essentially be only appropriate for demos imo
game streaming is crappy on a pc with 10x the power and network capabilities of the ps4, it will be useless on ps4 to me
some people may be fine with the latency and bad graphics that it will surely produce, myself, i'll stick with dedicated ps4 games, and when i want to play a ps3 ga...
the witcher 3 is going to pretty much decimate every other rpg, just like part 1 and 2 already do, the only rpg's recently that are even close are neverwinter nights 2 and temple of elemental evil

literally, the witcher 1 and 2 are the best rpg's in the last 10 years, the witcher 3 will continue this trend i believe!

next gen ps4/720 will be akin to a mid spec pc from 2 years ago, thats 1080p, 30-60 frames, very high settings and textures in modern engines
