No you're right, you do need massive infrastructure but GF has been around a long time. They could be the steam of consoles in a way. And it doesn't have to be streaming, but just a central hub to download. Wow, that's coincidental.
Just a thought, why hasn't gamefly broken out as the primary 3rd party Netflix style subscription service?
Yeah, but Nintendo is a toy company. Gimmicks are what they do especially with the family friendly culture they have. Although, their quality is always tops, so gimmicks are fine for them.
Xbox's quarterly report was up 39%. I don't think they care. So instead of selling Word and Excel separately, they bundle it into office in a package and that's desperate? If there's one thing MS knows how to do, it's offer services.
And fortnite doing a BR is desperation too. No, it's good business. Desperation is done through gimmicks. Gimmicks have very low value, high attention and are over quickly. Also, the savings through this vary depending if you can find cheap Live and GP cards because msrp is a lot.
A strong continued splinter cell theme this past year. If there's no game announced "soon" I'll be kind of shocked.
I think they should start with fable. A game with a very solid depiction of what's expected but with an exciting new story. Then when they get the experience and with the newfound expectation of their customers via rpg/story, make a new ip, something really theirs. A foundation to build on.
Seriously. I already get access for anywhere from 3-10 bucks off online so I'd probably pay less than 100 for what, 5 or 6 brand new games a year?
I want this to be an upgrade to ea access as well.
Please let it be Fable
At a full 60? No way. Maybe over time it can build. But I think just under 30 mostly because it's the first modern style shooter in 4 years.
I think BO4 will be the highest in recent years closer to 28 mil because curiosity about the br mode could bring in 2-3 mil. And if rumors are true about next year being modern warfare 4, it'll hit 30 mil.
Isn't it funny how on here gaas and longer engagement is a bad thing? What if it were literally any other product in your life? Companies want your tv, washing machine or medication to last longer, "no, fuck you" is the response here. Everyone here has such high respect for devs yet always say shit like "half complete" games. Know what else was half complete? The Mona Lisa. Da Vinci even said he "regretted never having completed a single work" yet its conside...
Have you never played Mario Party?
Console makers still need retailers to sell their consoles. They won't do that if they can't sell their games too.
Right? Isn't the whole point of exclusives to sell consoles? If it's 1/8 that means 7/8 have a ps4 for a different reason than GoW. HZD is right around that 8-9 million sold range as well. Uncharted after 2 years just hit 10 million and TLOU at 17 but after 5 years. Sony quickly went from 70-80 million consoles sold yet these numbers just about stayed the same. That means this core audience is not growing which means exclusives aren't the reason people bought a ps4. It's the s...
