Yeah seriously, my laptop is running Vista with 2 gigs of ram after I added an extra gig. A cheap laptop running 10 with i5 is easily more than 400.
They did invest in first party studios, then lionhead took more than 4 years to make fable 4 (which is a crap load of dead money) so they axed them..WHICH PISSES ME OFF! I want fable 4 dammit. One of my all time favorites and they killed it! Another group really needs to revive it.
And by lack of exclusives you mean you never saw e3 or the mass amount of exclusives they're coming out with or even check wiki and see that Xbox has 32 exclusives and 144 console exclusives. By limitations it would be safe to assume the software or the execution of recording is either not ready, practical, or viable yet, nothing to do with exclusives.

It's hardly foolish. YouTube started supporting 4k back in 2010. Even my grandpa has a 4k TV and doesn't know the difference between that and 1080. Cinemas were showing 4k movies in 2011 and Sony sold 4k projectors in 2004. Netflix started streaming house of cards, breaking bad and a few others in 2014. @elementx I completely agree. That's how I see the future happening too. With the limit of 4k (because we can't really see better than that) and the capability to play 4k smoothly, hardware upgrades will be limited. And of course like every console the price will probably drop around 300 eventually.
Even if that's true it won't be true forever. The x is built for the future and the one and the s will eventually be squeezed out until companies are only making the enhancements they weren't before.
@logicwins, thank you. Said perfectly. Also it's good to add that the one x tech is meant to last at least another 5 years before any kind of upgrade or boost especially when we really can't notice a difference with resolutions higher than 4k, even 1080 to 4k wasn't too big of a jump.

Still doesn't have a 4k player for movies. The ps3 was huge because they put in a BR player and many people bought one just for that reason. Good br players still cost more than 50 bucks and 4k player more than 100. For people who have a 4k TV and want high end gaming and a 4k player to complete it they'll be opting for Microsoft just like they opted for ps3 years ago. Remember the Sony ad "it only does everything", it's sad they can't say that anymore with the 4.
You couldn't really compare the ps5 and one x because they won't be the same generation because the x is 2017 and the 5 may be 2018, 19 or even 2020. That's an enormous gap technologically speaking. As for the pro now, it is rather sad how it doesn't even have a 4k player especially when it was the br player which made the 3 so big.
More games is the same argument people made for apple years ago remember? It's annoying and people don't necessarily care. And especially with pc of course there's more games but that's only because you can have emulators out the wazoo. All Nintendo platforms, 360, ps3, etc.
Not sure. I think they believe it will have an impact on the next 5 years at least because you're not gonna need any more power for better graphics. Not like we can see past 4k anyway. Only thing a newer console after this would be new OS, power save, cpu/gpu allocation, etc. It may have a kinect style effect but that was during the Wii and PlayStation move hype and MS wanted something new but relative.

@sunny I know how the trophy system works. Each trophy is worth a base point value and each type of release is allowed to have a maximum number of points. Bronze = 15 points, silver = 30, gold = 90, platinum = 180. So on a whim they can give a game all platinum trophies as long as it fits into the total points they assign.

@the 10th rider. I have bbgc and love it! For top games bb will give you a $10 cert when you pre-order plus bbgc on top of that. Plus you get mad points over time which you convert into more certs.
I agree. I have always had a huge collection of games for all my platforms. It would bother me if my whole collection were purely digital. I do have a 4tb external and over 100 games on my xbo but I do have a bunch physical to back it too.
