All games are early access these days. See: day one patch, multiple patches after that.
Especially now that Trump ended net neutrality. Now if you want the good speed prices will be going up.
Bull. "you don't own the content". What the hell is that like I don't own the code and IP? Maybe not but I do own that copy of the game. This means I have total control of what I do with it. This means I can play on any system at any time with out having to go online to ask permission, I can sell it, trade it, lend it, play it again in 5 years etc. With streaming and digital everything is a rental the only difference is how long the rental lasts.
“Developers should be given freedom over what they want to create.” Gamers only say that on games they agree with the decisions on and to argue with detractors. When a studio does something they don't like that goes out the window.
I have always preferred first person in games because it is more immersive. To me third person always reminds me that I am playing a video game. It also pulls the camera back and minimizes connection to the world. The character gets in ...
I liked TW3 but I still like the style of the ES better. Just me though. Maybe the forced third person ruined immersion in TW3 for me.
It is not poor parenting that causes problems, it is that there are so many guns floating around that they are easy to get. If it was poor parenting and the kid couldn't get a gun there wouldn't be these issues.
How about we stop kids from getting guns from their parents, or from anywhere. These politicians are so dependent on their campaign contributions from the NRA that they will blame everything but easy access to guns. To them it is video games, movies, rap music, mental illness, everything except guns. I can't kill people with a video game or movie but I certainly can with a gun. Other countries around the world have violent games and movies but don't have the gun violence we do in ...
It is pretty simple. Due to DRM you don't really own digital games. As soon as they are taken down you lose access to them.
Online only , fail.
Online only SP=no buy.
Yes games cost more to make. The market is much bigger too with a lot more people buying games. That compensates for higher development costs.
Skyrim is short?
*if you like online only multiplayer. I don't so big nothingburger for me.
You know for a fact that Blockbuster didn't hurt movie sales? It sure did. If the only way to watch the movie at home was to buy it they would have sold more. It is the same with games.
Good for everyone if everyone likes downloading 100 gigs of data just to only rent it.
...yet
But this is the beginning of the end of game ownership, MS and publisher's ultimate goal.
And what if you have slow internet, no internet, or data caps? No games anymore? It is ok but not everyone wants to only rent everything.
Before people complained about 24 hour DRM, but now it is ok to have everything be rent only, download only?
Cy,
$10 is better than $60? Well yeah if everything else was equal but it isn't. For $10 all you get is the ability to rent it, $60 you own it. It depends if you don't ever want to own a game again. If not then this service is for you.
Cobra, Those files replicated all over the internet are locked to one computer, account, or console with DRM. They will be useless when the servers close.
