Genius... To bad the "genius" let Microsoft trump them in GPU power, ray tracing, and CPU speed. Now designing weaker hardware is genius just because it is easy to code for?
Yeah when Microsoft announced that Xb1 would need 24 hour internet check in most were very against it. Now you need microsecond check in and own nothing and people love it. It doesn't make sense.
With 4K TVs and emphasis on high quality graphics now it is ok to stream a degraded often 720P game full of lag? It looks like we are going BACKWARDS.
Even if you have top quality internet with no caps (many don't, I don't) not everyone wants to to...
Yeah the future, where companies own your money, but you don't own any games. Everything is a rental, and if you don't have a fast connection you are SOL.
No thanks.
Farpoint is good with the aim controller. Firewall is online MP only so it is not for some.
Online only means no buy for me.
Playing in VR solves motion sickness. You need to play long enough to get your VR legs, it has nothing to do with resolution.
Wireless would need a battery which is more weight. If they make the battery too small you will need to stop to recharge every hour, too big and it will be heavy. It is physics, wireless would need compromises, i would rather have a more featured higher quality headset.
Almost everyone gets motion sickness in the beginning, I did. Now I can play for hours and circle strafe like mad with no nausea. You have to play it long enough and often to get "VR legs", then the sickness will go away.
The problem with that game is it is online MP only. Anyone without great internet or those that hate Mp should pass.
That is pure BS. For one thing the Rift is higher resolution, but not really that much as to claim the Rift is awesome but PSVR is terrible.. It is more like the PSVR is good but Rift is a little better res. I like the real glass lenses in the PSVR vs Fresnel in rift which gives crappy artifacts. I would suggest using PSVR on a Pro though as it is better on that.
Yes it is the games are bigger now argument. It is dumb because you only tell part of the story. The games market is also much bigger so it makes up for more expensive development with the many more game sales.
@S2Killinit
That is good for you but not everyone is as lucky. Even those that are many just don't care for MP shooters. Since this game is multiplayer ONLY it should be noted for those expecting a campaign or expect to play it offline.
Yeah but Firewall is online MP only. It is good if you like online MP shooters but unuseable offline and has no campaign. If you don't have top notch internet or like just playing offline, don't buy it.
Flat screen games are so lame though. In VR you are IN the game not watching it on TV. The thing lost on a TV is sense of scale not just 3D. When a monster attacks in VR and it looks bigger than you as it would in real life is much better than seeing a 10" "sprite" on a TV. Seeing a dragon in Skyrim in VR looks huge. I still play some flatscreen games at times but VR is a great option. Having the Pro is a good start as PSVR looks best on the Pro.
As...
Just as a warning: The first time I used PSVR I felt like i was going to launch my lunch. Almost everyone will feel sick/dizzy at first. You have to use comfort settings and then slowly wean off of them (or just tough it out). After a while you will feel less and less dizzy and finally be fine with it. It takes time for your brain to wire for it. It is called getting your "VR legs". Don't think of it as a negative, just stick with it and think of it as a right of passage ...

PSVR is already "good enough". Sure more rez and detail is nice but it is not so bad as to be a show stopper. It is surprisingly good for a console (I would suggest PS4 pro though) and if the PS5 is BC hopefully all PSVR games will still work, and maybe get a res bump automatically.
Yes but a word of caution Firewall is online MP only, no campaign, so when there is no one playing this the game is worthless. That is the biggest flaw is that anyone without a top end internet connection is left out.
It depends on what you like but it is a decent puzzler/platformer. The biggest knock on it is that it was a bit short in my opinion. I got over 10 hours out of it though because I would spend time to just look around at the beautiful environments. I suppose you could blast through it in 4 hours if you just rush.
They should allow a setting for 1080P and 60 FPS. 4K is a waste of resources and it is not as noticeable as a low frame rate from the normal TV viewing distance anyway. 4k looks slightly crisper but checkerboard upscale and 60FPS is a bigger gain.
