My two and a half year old son knows exactly what to do in Angry Birds on my iPad.
He puts his finger on a bird, drags left and lets go, then shrieks with joy as things start falling down. He is growing up with touch controls and I am sure he will never have any interest in a "real" handheld console with buttons because of this. Us old timers might still prefer real buttons, but the next generation will shun them.
