This is why I wish people would focus a bit more on Activision. Everyone seems to put all of their hatred either in the Ubisoft or EA basket, but I think Activision is the worst of the bunch. They took Destiny, a completely amazing concept and absolutely destroyed it. For greed, of course.
I am really debating on getting this on Xbox One, the standard version. Not paying for the overpriced DLC. Would that be worth it at $30?
Halo actually has competent writing and wasn't gutted for DLC. Halo gets my vote, no questions asked. Destiny is more of a disgrace on gaming itself.
None of them are bad and considering that they are free, I really can't complain. Really looking forward to trying Hand of Fate for sure. The others, I am fine with them, even if I already own Gears 2.
Activision and Treyarch being stupid and anti-consumer? Gee, what a surprise. Or not a surprise, at all. I have no plans to buy this overpriced DLC bullsh*t yet I still need to have it on my HDD? Sounds....lovely.
A good game is a good game, regardless if it is Indie or not.
$300. That is still way too much. I mean, you need to first own a system to play it on, and then a game! I will just stick with a controller.
"Gamers are a fickle crowd"
Except in this instance gamers are the ones who funded this game, a game that is mostly gonna be focused on single player and the game that they backed is being delayed AGAIN for a feature that most of them probably never asked for AFTER the developer said that the game would have no further delays.
Yeah, fickle crowd.
The gameplay is absolutely top notch, but everything else, I felt underwhelmed with. I do love that they are gonna do free updates, but since Halo 6 has already been confirmed, it sucks that this will be just another shooter that will eventually become abandoned.
This is a perfect example to why I gave up on N4G a long time ago. The community is just shit. Nothing but fanboy garbage.
And they ignore the fact that the Wii U is a third party disaster, but let's just ignore all of that and say how horrible Xbox is because reasons. Remember: THE SALES!!!!
I am just going by the history here. Xbox One is a really good system, but it sells almost nothing compared to the two other systems that are actually made there.
I don't choose Xbox because it is made in America. I don't care where it is made if it is good, but do they think the same way? That is what I am unsure of.
I am pretty sure that the Xbox One has far more than shooters available for it. The Wii U is a third party disaster yet that gets a free pass.
Neither, just support the current releases for a while.
I don't see Europe blatantly ignoring the one system that isn't made by the Japanese.
It is so they can get their own egos off on it. Tis a shame.
Um, doesn't Europe have a good Xbox following?
So, arrogance then. Sounds about right. I don't know, the Xbox One is a fantastic system and to see it ignored so horribly by the Japanese, something seems kinda wrong about that.
The tried to charge $60 for a 4 hour, mediocre cover based shooter with zero replayability. Not sure why people are defending that.
Season passes are the worst plague in gaming at the moment, in terms of something specific. It means a few key things:
1. That they are making the game with DLC in mind on day one, therefore potentially cutting content.
2. The game will only be supported for a rather minimal amount of time.
3. A sequel, if not sequels, are already planned.
Anytime a game has a season pass, I automatically know that the game will not be made ...
